Pro-Line are present at the Hoeco stand and have on display their new Bulldog body shells for the Durango DEX210 and DEX410. Used by factory driver Hupo Honigl at the recent Reedy Invitational race, the cab forward design offers racers a stylish and high performance new body option for both cars. Also seen on the Hoeco stand is the Volksmotor that we wrote about last week, a 9 port Novarossi on road .21 engine with a sub 200 euro price.

On the Associated booth Reedy have their all new 1/8th scale BL motor the 1512 Sonic, which comes in 1800kv and 2100kv and it will be available in April. Associated were also showing their just recently announced SC10 4×4 factory team kit with the new battery mount configuration and mounting plate as well as carbon chassis stiffener and other factory team options as standard.

Traxxas gave us a rolling road demo of their awesome XO-1 RTR car with its impressive design, power, 100mph top speed and awesome ground effect aerodynamics, but even more awesome than that is the Traxxas Link system. This system which is installed on your iPhone or iPod touch and plugged into the Traxxas TQi radio system gives real time telemetry from the car which can be replayed back after the run showing speed, temperature, rpm, volts and more. You can also set some cut offs which prevent the car from overheating or the battery voltage going too low which can warn you or shut off. You can also adjust all the trim, end points etc from the touch screen as well as assign a knob on the transmitter to adjust any of those settings on the fly.

Horizon Hobby were showing off their new line up of Losi Mini rally and Mini SCT 1/24th scale brushless cars which now also come with 2.4Ghz transmitters. On the competition side there is the new TLR22T, the 2wd competition truck based on the ROAR Nationals winning TLR22 buggy. There is also a Losi branded 22T RTR which comes supplied with Losi electronics and a Spektrum radio. Staying with the RTRs there is a new XXX SCT 4×4 RTR now available with the version we were shown coming with a pre painted #33 Stephensen replica shell.

Pro-Line have made it official that they have signed TLR star Dakotah Phend. Tim Clark said “Dakota has already caught the attention of the racing community as an consistent A-main contender and Pro-Line is committed to being a key component for Dakotah to reach his future goals.” Dakotah had this to say about the new deal:

Pro-Line have released a number of new additions to their tire range starting with the 1/8th buggy Hole Shot 2.0. The Hole Shot 2.0 provides more forward traction, increased steering response and is less edgy in the ruts making you faster than ever before. Their mini-pin and square lug technology combine to give your Buggy TQ pace and last through long mains. Also for 1/8th buggy is the Tazer and Blockade are now available pre mounted on V2 white wheels with the Tazer available in M3 and M4, while the Blockade only comes in M4. For 1/10th scale buggy there is the return of the Square Fuzzie. The new Square Fuzzie features countless square micro-pins laid out in a traction inducing grid pattern that will stick to the track like Velcro while the long center bars provide tons of forward bite and improved wear over the Original. These tires are ideal for any indoor/outdoor hard-packed dirt track where bar-type tires are not getting the job done. The new Square Fuzzies will give you the confidence inspiring forward and side bite to propel you to the front.

New from Pro-Line for the Associated RC8.2 is the 2012 Bulldog. Ryan Cavalieri is preparing for the IFMAR World Championships in 2012 and has developed the most advanced body yet. He took great care in refining the design for 2012 to create even more stability with enhanced steering to gain an advantage on the track. The windshield is steeper to create more down force over the front wheels and the roof ridges have been raised to channel the air flow over the middle of the body for increased high-speed stability. The rear of the roof has been lowered and fins have been added to achieve maximum engine head cooling and stable air flow over the body. The fins also add rigidity to the body to increase aerodynamic efficiency.

Pro-Line has made another big name signing with the announcement that Adam Drake will join their team. Pro-Line have made the announcement that they have signed current 1/8th offroad World Champion Cody King away from AKA. Tim Clark said “The Pro-Line Team is excited to announce current IFMAR World Champ Cody King on our team roster for 2012. Cody and his father, Paul King, refined their nitro racing skills as Pro-Line Team members during the peak of the Pro-Line Saturday Series and have since proven themselves as World Class competitors with many national caliber wins and a current IFMAR world title. We look forward to partnering with Cody for the defending of his IFMAR World Championship title.” Cody is “really excited to be working with Pro-Line for 2012. Pro-Line and Protoform have released a number of new t-shirts to increase their range of merchandising. First up is the Surf style T-shirt in Silver, with its clean silver color and its simple but effective logo placement. The Pro-Line Urban style T-shirt in Slate Blue features a large street-style P-L logo front and center and a full Pro-Line logo on the back, along with a ghosted splattering of tires, cars and logos. For the ladies there is the Urban Girl style T-shirt in Pink which will make your girl look pretty in pink and beautiful around town. Ty personally spent hours refining the design for 2012 to create even more stability with enhanced steering to gain an advantage on the track. The windshield is steeper to create more down force over the front wheels and the roof ridges have been raised to channel the air flow over the middle of the body for increased high-speed stability. The rear of the roof has been lowered and fins have been added to achieve maximum engine head cooling and stable air flow over the body. The fins also add rigidity to the body to increase aerodynamic efficiency. Additionally on the truggy shell the hood has been raised slightly to allow more clearance for a longer shock setup and the headlights and grill have been redesigned.

Pro-Line have introduced the new Tazer 1/8 scale buggy tyre. Designed with the input of World Class drivers like Ty Tessmann and Ryan Cavalieri the tread features outer square and inner overlapping rectangle blocks for tons of traction and good durability for long A-mains. The tyre will become available soon in Pro-Line’s M2, M3 and M4 compounds.

The new Velocity 12mm hex wheels are based on PL’s iconic line of 1/10 scale buggy wheels and now feature the common 12mm wheel hex that comes into use at most of today’s electric buggies. Designed with light weight and durability in mind the neon yellow or white rims are available in three different types making them usable for the TLR/Losi 22, Kyosho RB5 and Team Associated B4.1.

Pro-Line have introduced 2 new FlexFit hats, the first the Icon Black Flat Bill will help you reach Icon status with the low-key embroidered Pro-Line logos front and back and a super-flat bill.
