A Main Hobbies have announced the release of this ProTek R/C brand Lithium Polymer 2-cell 4000mAh 20C power pack. These ProTek R/C battery packs can be used in any application where you need 6-cell NiMH stick or race packs, such as 1/10th scale electric touring cars or 2wd and 4wd off-road vehicles and are significantly lighter weighing only 200g (7.1oz) when compared to regular NiMH race packs which weigh over 400g (14oz) for the same capacity. These batteries also have a nominal voltage of 7.4V compared to the 7.2V of regular NiMH batteries, and have a lot lower internal resistance. This leads to better top speeds and improved ‘punch’ off the line when compared to NiMH batteries.

A Main Hobbies today announced a new ProTek R/C brand Lithium Polymer receiver pack designed to fit vehicles that need a 2/3A style flat stick receiver pack. This new receiver pack fits many vehicles where the current 2000mAh square style receiver pack will not fit, such as the XRAY XB8. This pack is currently one of the largest capacity Lithium Polymer receiver packs available in this size configuration.

A-Main Hobbies, owner of the ProTek brand, dropped us a mail to tell us about their new line of LiPo battery packs that they have just released. The line up includes transmitter packs which have been designed to fit popular car transmitters such as the Futaba 3PK, Airtronics M11, JR Z-1 and KO Propo EX-10 Helios transmitters with capacities ranging from 1000mAh for minimal weight, up to 3300mAh for maximum endurance. Next up are receiver packs designed for off-road nitro cars and trucks with a number of different receiver battery dimensions and capacities from 1000mAh up to 2000mAh as well as a LiPo regulator that features a low drop out voltage design and low voltage detection to remind you when your receiver battery is going flat and needs to be charged.
