Sven Zünd takes LRP Islikon Masters Rd4 Categories - Robitronic, Events, Electric, On Road, Racing - comments closed 
Robitronic have a report on their website from the 4th round of the LRP Islikon Masters in Switzerland. The race was run on controlled tires and the softer, better performing 27-compound was very hard to get on this weekend, therefore some clever tactics were needed and Sven Zünd with his Robitronic Avid made the most of the difficult situation, saving his tyres for the final round of qualifying and the finals. Starting from the pole position, he was able to take the win ahead of the Xray driving Lnenicka brothers Ronny and Sacha who finished in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Robitronic has released a new 500cc fuel bottle, similar to that from Axial, Serpent and Xceed, which is made from super flexible material for quick fills with control over the fuel flow. The long red anodized aluminum fill pipe sports the Robitronic logo and easily reaches any fuel tank, while the aluminum ring and the rubber seals prevents leakage.

Robitronic have announced the release of new sealed ball bearings, in standard sizes, for off road racing. Available with either steel or ceramic balls, both types are fitted with rubber gaskets to prevent dirt entering the bearing and damaging them. All bearings come pre oiled for high rpm usage and fit a variety of applications with the 5×10x4mm ball bearings ideal for use as clutch bearings. Robitronic now also sell ceramic balls in both 2.4mm and 3mm diameters and are supplied in a pack of 12, making them ideal for ball differentials.

Robitronic have released 2 new items for their 1/18th scale Scalpel, one of which is the Loletta body shell that sits very low to the chassis and features a big rear spoiler for lots of downforce. This body is suitable for the 4 cell kit and also works with the new 6 cell chassis. The new 2mm carbon fibre chassis comes with 6 battery slots, which sit very low for a better centre of gravity, while due to the increased number of cells the wheelbase has been increased from 130mm to 142mm giving better performance on long straights.

Robitronic have released a number of engine maintenance parts in the form of new air filter foams, air filter oil and after run oil. First up are these turbo double air filters, which are perfectly cut and are used with high-quality oil that protect your engine from dangerous dust particles. The air filter sets are available in 2 formats of 6 pieces with 45ml Air Filter oil, or 12 pieces with 90ml Air Filter oil. Also available seperately is the high quality air filter oil, which thanks to its colour allows you to see the saturation when applied. Finally, Robitronic have released some After Run oil that comes in both 45ml and 90ml and when put into the engine helps prevent the engine internals from rusting when not being used between races.

Weighing in at only 5 grams at almost half the weight of the stock axle, this leightweight yet strong titanium axle helps your handling due to lower rear pod suspension weight, more balanced left side diff action and of course improved acceleration. Also features shortened stub axles (shortened 1mm on each side) for less overhang thus reducing the chance of your axle snagging a track barrier.
