Niclas Nilsson wint Medio Zweedse Kop Rd7 Categories - Serpent, Electric, On Road, Racing - comments closed
Het serpent heeft een kort rapport van hun jonge teambestuurder Niclas Nilsson, die in actie opnieuw vorig weekend met zijn S400 voor de 7de ronde van de Midden Zweedse Kop was waar hij een andere wint nam. Een belangrijke kracht in de Zweedse het Reizen van EP scène van de Auto, Nilsson en zijn S400 had het tempo dat door de gebeurtenis alle benen van de a-Leiding wint om de algemene overwinning over 2de geplaatst Kenneth Malksson en Niklas Filnk in derde te nemen.

Sotiropoulos wint Griekse 1/8ste Nats Rd1 Categories - Serpent, Gas, On Road, National, Racing - comments closed
Het serpent rapporteert over de eerste ronde van het Griekse Nationale Kampioenschap dat bij het spoor FRT vorig weekend aan de gang werd en dat zag huidige Kampioen John Sotiropoulos overheerst de gebeurtenis. Met bezig weinig dagen voorafgaand aan de gebeurtenis om de nieuwe 08 uitrustingen, Saturday’ te bouwen; s praktijk toonde aan dat Sotiropoulos geen van zijn tempo tijdens het weg seizoen had verloren aangezien hij het tempo met zijn nieuw Maximum aangedreven Serpent bepaalde. Een tempo dat hij uitvoerde aan het kwalificeren op Zondag aangezien hij TQ’ D de gebeurtenis. Beginnend minieme def. 30 van poolpositie, werd Sotiropoulos geduwd hard bij het begin maar zodra het ras onderaan de bestuurder had geregeld van het Serpent begon weg te trekken, uiteindelijk kruisend de lijn zowat 3 overlappingen duidelijk van Kyosho racer Giannis Arkoumanis in tweede en zijn teampartner Totomis Evaggelos in derde.

Jaad Racing have released some new additions to their Tuned Shock Towers range with new shock towers for the Tamiya TRF416 and the Serpent S400. Made from carbon fibre, there are new pieces for both the front and rear of both cars, with all providing more tuning possibilities with regards the shock absorber angle.

Serpent S120 1/12th scale chassis Categories - Serpent, Electric On Road, Cars, Products - comments closed 
Spotted at last weekends Masters of 12 Scale held in Kerkrade in the Netherlands, and photographed by Joost Kuiper, was the new Serpent S120 1/12th scale pan car. Belonging to race organiser and Serpent development driver Markus Mobers, it was not being raced but was on display for all to see on the Sunday of the event. What can be seen on this car, which is missing the top centre shock absorber, is the single piece aluminium rear pod and the central tweak adjustment system. The lateral shock absorber, that stabilises the rear pod is not so clear in these pictures but we were told that Serpent will release more information about this car by the end of the week.

Prumper bros. win Corally Thunderdays Categories - Serpent, Electric, On Road, Racing - comments closed 
Serpent are reporting on last weekends Corally Thunderdays that took place at Geilenkirchen in Germany where it was brothers Yannic and Bjorn Prumper driving Serpent S400s that took a 1-2 in the Modified class. On Saturday Björn set the fastest time of the weekend and also set a new track-record, however Yannic could not at first match his brother’s times but the reason for this was later discovered, a broken front end of his chassis plate. After replacing the damaged chassis Yannic’s lap times improved dramatically and this allowed him to join his brother in the final. Overtaking Corally driver Lars Treder for 2nd position early in the final, Yannic followed his brother for the rest of the race, which saw Bjorn take the win from Yannic in 2nd and Treder in 3rd.

Serpent have announced the latest new performance product for the Serpent S400 190mm touring car. The new central axle one-way 16T pulley is perfect for stock racers, where braking is kept to a minimum, and for all racers running on large open tracks. Enabling the front drive train to run free when off power, it enables the racer to carry more speed into the corner. The pulley has been made from hard anodised aluminium and is not only light but also extremely durable.

Clive Connolly to race Serpent 720 Categories - Serpent, Gas, On Road, Racing, Drivers - comments closed 
Current Irish 1:8 on road National Champion Clive Connolly has announced that he will double his 2008 Irish campaign and head Team Serpent Ireland’s challenge for 1:10 200mm title honours. The Multiple 1:8 National Champion, who will race a Serpent 960 08 both in Ireland and Europe this season, was attracted to the 1:10 Championship by the competitiveness of the class in Ireland, with this year’s 6 round national series expected to attracted 30 plus drivers per event making for one of the best ever seasons of 200mm racing in the country. For his 1:10 campaign Connolly will race Serpent’s latest 720 08 which will be powered by Mega ZX engines.
