Jilles Groskamp sluit zich aan bij Tamiya - Gesprek Categories - Tamiya, Electric, International, Racing, Drivers - comments closed
Na veel speculatie over de toekomst van hoogste Nederlandse Internationale elektrische racer Jilles Groskamp, kunnen wij bevestigen aan u dat hij aan Tamiya heeft ondertekend. Jilles, die voor Röntgenstraal in de afgelopen 6 jaar heeft gerend, gaat achter een succesvolle termijn weg bij de Slowaakse fabrikant die hem vele belangrijke races heeft zien winnen evenals def. voor de veelvoudige Europese en Kampioenschappen van de Wereld maken. Wij haalden onlangs Jilles in en legden een paar vragen aan hem voor over deze opwindende nieuwe overeenkomst.

Tamiya heeft details over de Uitgave van Werelden van hun concurrentie 4wd met fouten, TRF501X vrijgegeven. Hoofdzakelijk de zelfde auto zoals origineel, WIJ geleverd met een aantal facultatieve delen als norm komen die worden ontworpen om duurzaamheid te verbeteren en de waaier van opstellingsaanpassingen te verhogen die op de auto kan worden toegepast. Voorzien van blauw geanodiseerd voorgietmachineblok, verstrekt dit stuk extra sterkte, stijfheid en stemmende mogelijkheden, terwijl andere nieuwe geleverde delen voorzijde omvatten en breng antibroodjesstaven, nieuwe 18T centrumkatrol, de aansporingsplaat van het aluminiumcentrum, versterkt vooreind, aluminium achterposten, nieuwe bijgewerkte lichaamsshell en tenslotte alle gaten groot en verzinkt zijn verbeterd.

Zoals gezien op de teamauto's bij de Kampioenschappen van de Wereld in Japan, heeft Tamiya de 2de versie van TRF501X lichaamsshell vrijgegeven. Featuring more space around the electronics and motor, to aid cooling and allow more possible electronics layout options, this body was spotted on the Tamiya stand at the recent Tokyo Hobby show in Japan.

Tamiya TRF416 launched Categories - Tamiya, Electric On Road, Cars, Products - comments closed 
Tamiya have released details about their new 190mm EP Touring car, the TRF416 which we showed you pre production images of previously. Designed for use with control tires and brushless motors, the car is optimised for this configuration and to be easy on the tires. The width of the bulkheads have been adjusted to optimise the roll qualities in the front and rear of the car while the motor was repositioned to help raise traction. The carbon fiber upper deck is now also thicker, up to 2.25mm thick from 2mm, for different cornering characteristics.

Japanese company Team Azarashi have released pictures of their new 1/10th scale buggy body, called the Tateego, due for release in October. With over 8 months of development, this body, which is shown above mounted on the Tamiya TRF501X, features a very unique shape and very aggressive look. The body features 2 large air scoops up front for cooling of the cars electronics while the curved sides, low roof and narrow rear improve air flow to the rear wing making it very stable in the air.

Eagle Racing Pit Mat & 501X parts Categories - Eagle Racing, Tamiya, Accessories, Off Road, Products - comments closed
Eagle Racing have released a number of new products this week with the first being this new pit mat. Made from a high quality rubber material, it is 40 x 60cm in size and weighs 325grams, and is supplied with a velcro strap to allow you to roll it up for transportation. Also new from Eagle Racing are some option parts for the Tamiya TRF 501X 4wd buggy, the first option being a blue anodised aluminium steering linkage which adds extra strength to this assembly. Also new for the 501X are a range of lightweight and strong titanium turnbuckles in various selections as well as titanium screw sets, also available in different amounts.
