In this months column, Juraj talks about the development of the company’s new XB808 1/8th scale buggy, which was shown for the first time at the toy fair in Germany a few weeks ago. Neste mês coluna, Juraj fala sobre o desenvolvimento da sociedade da nova XB808 1/8th escala buggy, que foi exibido pela primeira vez no brinquedo justo na Alemanha há algumas semanas atrás.
To improve steering and handling in bumpy conditions, I decided to use the suspension concept that has been used for ages in 1/10 electric off-road cars… the “zero kingpin” design. Para melhorar a orientação e manipulação em condições irregulares, que decidiu utilizar a suspensão conceito que tem sido utilizado para idades de 1 / 10 elétrico fora-de-estrada carros… o "zero kingpin" design. This design seems to work in the 1/8 buggy scale as well and the first prototypes were created for testing. Esta concepção parece funcionar no 1 / 8 buggy escala tão bem e foram criados os primeiros protótipos para testes. Zero kingpin suspension gives more precise steering and handling in the corners as the steering keeps the same angle no matter if the suspension is up or down, and as such when running through bumps in corner the steering will not change as much as on regular C-hub suspension used previously and the handling of the car will improve significantly. Zero kingpin suspensão dá mais precisa orientação e manipulação nos cantos como a direcção mantém o mesmo ângulo, não importa se a suspensão se para cima ou para baixo, e, como tal, quando executando através solavancos na esquina da direcção não irá mudar tanto como em regular C - Hub suspensão utilizados anteriormente e à manipulação do carro vai melhorar significativamente.

Japanese company Kawahara are playing with the concept of introducing a new class based on the 1/10th 200mm class, called GPR. Empresa japonesa Kawahara está jogando com a ideia de introduzir uma nova classe baseada na classe 1/10th 200 milímetros, chamado GPR. Essentially they are saying that due to the power of modern .12 engines that the cars have become more difficult to control. Basicamente eles estão dizendo que, devido à potência dos motores modernos .12 que os veículos se tenham tornado mais difícil de controlar. What they are suggesting is to use new wheels and tires that see the front increased to 30mm wide and the rear to 40mm wide, which will help get the power to the track and make the cars easier to drive. I’m not too convinced by the idea, as a major part of the skill of racing is to be able to handle that power, and also remember that the world had a class like this already - 235mm. Não estou muito convencido com a ideia, como uma grande parte da habilidade de corridas é o de ser capaz de lidar com esse poder, e também lembrar que o mundo tinha uma classe como esta já - 235 milímetros.

Neste mês coluna, Juraj fala sobre o desenvolvimento da versão Pro do M18 caminhão.
It was fairly easy to brainstorm about what we needed and wanted to improve and change for the new M18T. Foi bastante fácil de idéias sobre o que precisávamos e quis melhorar e mudar para o novo M18T. We needed to bring the platform to the new level of high-competition racing so as to meet and exceed the expectations for reliability and performance. Precisávamos de trazer a plataforma para o novo nível de alta competição corridas, de modo a atender e superar as expectativas de confiabilidade e desempenho. The code project for the new car was set right away, to make a professional M18T and as such the name M18T PRO was set in place. O código projeto para o novo carro foi fixado imediatamente, a fazer uma M18T profissional e, como tal, o nome M18T PRO foi fixado no local. The goal was set, we just had to work out all the details. A meta foi definida, que apenas tinha de trabalhar para fora todos os detalhes.
