East Civic 200mm body shell

Japanese brand East have released this 200mm touring car body shell based on the Honda Civic. Similar in looks to other bodies already on the market this new shell sports 2 ribs on either side of the car which increase stiffness to the area while at the same time allowing the shell to be very lightweight. Other details include ribs on the bonnet that channel the air over the lowered windsreen and back to the rear wing. The Civic, which has been extensively tested by Central RC, provides the user with very responsive, high grip and well balanced handling characteristics.

Another new body shell for 190mm touring cars from East Coast Bodies in the form of this Evolution X. Designed for carpet and high traction race tracks, the Evo X provides very fast response as well as a balanced and a smooth ride. As with the BMW, this shell comes supplied with 3 type of wing, which enables you the option of adjusting between high, medium and low downforce.

Edit RC 1/10th Off Road Race Wing

Edit RC have released this ‘E-wing’ for 1/10th scale off road buggies that claims to offer huge downforce with minimal drag. The wing sits very low on the rear shock tower and has a large kick-up area for extra rear downforce and has been made from tough polycarbonate for extra durability and strength. Used by British and European Champion Neil Cragg, it is sold clear and comes supplied with overspray film.

RMV Symbio Truggy shell

We wrote about the new Symbio body shell from RMV back in the beginning of August when it was spotted at the NRW-Cup in Dormagen. Well the T1 version of this shell is now available to buy and is suitable for the Kyosho ST-RR, Xray XT8, Robitronic Mantis long and other similar cars, while in November RMV plan to launch the T2 version which features some adjustments to mounting positions and will be suitable for the Mugen MBX-5T and Jammin X1 CRT.

Tamiya TRF501X body shell V2

As seen on the team cars at the World Championships in Japan, Tamiya have released the 2nd version of the TRF501X body shell. Featuring more space around the electronics and motor, to aid cooling and allow more possible electronics layout options, this body was spotted on the Tamiya stand at the recent Tokyo Hobby show in Japan.

Team Titan Blitz rear wing set

Team Titan have released this rather nifty rear wing set for their Blitz 1/8th scale on road body shells. The 2 wings, or trim strips, come pre-cut on a single piece of molded 1mm thick polycarbonate and essentially offer you 2 additional tuning aids for your car. The Type I wing is specially designed to give lots of down force, while Type II can reduce the turbulence from the engines INS-Box and cooling Head. Type I is perfect for use with the Blitz Lola 05 and Type II works great on the Lola 06 and many other body shells.

Hi-Flow styling presents a flowing design while incorporating many radical scoop outlets for additional air flow for speed control and motor cooling. Race inspired aggressive styling, Illuzionized cab and upper scoop combined with the durable flowing design of the side pod scoops are just some of the features that make the new Illuzion “Hi-flow” body stand apart from the rest. Made from heavy-duty thickness polycarbonate with protective film, the body is supplied with two 6” rear V-wings as well as window masks and detailed Illuzion decal sheet.
