Protoform DNA3 200mm body shell
Protoform have finally released photos of their new high downforce 200mm DNA³ body shell, a body style previously only available for 190mm electric cars. In spite of numerous modifications to optimize the body for nitro sedan racing, the signature DNA style remains, from its bold front splitter to its large real wing there’s no doubt that this is a serious racing body design. Made to fit all 200mm nitro sedan chassis, the body and its supplied wing meet all ROAR and IFMAR rule requirements. Supplied with a protective film, wing mounting hardware, decals and window masks, the DNA³ is formed in genuine Lexan to provide durability for this ultra-fast racing class.

RMV Symbio Kyosho STR body
Last weekend at the NRW-Cup in Dormagen, Thorsten Wedemeyer photographed the Reckward brothers testing this new truggy body shell called the Symbio. Fitted on 2 long wheelbase Kyosho ST-R’s, but suitable for a number of different chassis’, the new body was still being tested by RMV and when completed will look slightly different to those in the pictures. The main stand out feature is the rear air scoops which channel airflow to the rear wing, presumably helping with balance while in flight.

Upgrade RC Flame 2 Graphic kit
Upgrade RC have announced the impending release of yet another graphics kit, this rather nice looking yellow and blue design, called the Flame 2. When released it will be made available for use with the Kyosho Inferno SP2 & STR, Mugen MBX5R & MBX5T, Jammin X1 CR & CRT, Losi 8ight & 8ight T, Revo, Associated RC8 and Hobao Hyper 8.

Moore-Speed Stratus Lightweight
You might remember last week that we informed you about the new lightweight version of the Moore Speed Mazda 6 bodyshell. Well the diet seems to be spreading within Hot Bodies with the introduction of this new lightweight Dodge Stratus 190mm body shell, which like the other lightweight shells available are around 30 grams lighter than the standard versions.

Moore-Speed Mazda 6 Lightweight
Hot Bodies have released a lightweight version of their original Moore-Speed Mazda 6 190mm bodyshell. This new lighter version was made to help racers meet the new lower weight limits brought in following the change to 5 cell that dropped the minimum weight limit to 1350 grams. Features a slightly revised design to add structural strength due to the thinner lexan and also a newly designed rear wing to maximise downforce.

Rony T-530 & Serpent 720 parts
Japanese company Rony have released a number of new parts today, first of which is the new thicker version of the T-530 1/8th scale CanAm body that we showed you previously. Meeting customer demands, this new version is made from 1.0mm thick polycarbonate, as opposed to the original 0.8mm thick that the original version was made from, thus making it more stable and stronger. Also released by Rony is a number of carbon fiber optional parts for the Serpent 720 such as a new radio plate, front and rear shock towers, top rear anti roll bar plate, brake plate and rear camber link plate. All new parts are super light and where applicable they sport more tuning holes and machining too.

Himoto High Downforce wing
Taiwanese company Himoto have released CAD images of their 2nd generation high downforce wing, which is suitable for use on 1/8th scale buggies and truggies. This IFMAR, EFRA & ROAR compliant wing is made from high quality plastic, so it wont break, and provides your off road car with lots of downforce with minimum drag. The wing comes in 4 colours – red, yellow, green and black, and should be available in August.

HB Moore-speed 2006 Mazda 6 MPS
Another product from Hot Bodies that we had written about previously is the Moore-speed 2006 Mazda 6 MPS, which will soon go on sale, after being announced at the start of February. From its new air splitter to the revised rear spill plates, the Moore-speed 2006 Mazda 6 MPS is all-new and all about speed and handling. The front bumper, splitter, winglets, and the new bonnet bulge all enhance steering at high speed. A deep aero-channel from the windscreen to the rear deck improves air flow to the rear wing and new lip spoiler, while new bumper spill plates aid the exit of air from under the body.
