Spektrum Smart LiPo hardcase battery packs

Coming from Spektrum’s Smart series are two new 100C LiPo hardcase battery packs. New to the range are a 7.6V 6300mAh LiHV shorty battery pack as well as a 14.8V 5000mAh 1/8th scale battery. When a Spektrum Smart LiPo battery is connected to a Spektrum Smart charger, unique parameters and health of that Smart LiPo battery upload from the Smart memory microchip integrated into the battery. Through the charger, drivers can view and set preferences, such as charge rates, so that all they have to do to charge the pack every time is press the charger “Start” button. The Smart technology takes care of the rest. The packs come in protective hardcases that utilise 5mm bullet-type connectors.

Speedzone Evolution LiPo battery packs

Speedzone have announced their new Evolution brand, designed for and dedicated to competitive racing. Made to broaden Speedzone’s exposure in the competitive RC car racing scene, the first product offerings for the brand are 1S, 2S standard and shorty 130C LiPo packs. The 6000mAh 7.4V LCG pack measures 139x47x22.5mm and weighs 294g. The 5200mAh 7.4V shorty pack measures 96x47x25mm and weighs 228g, and the 8100mAh 3.7V pack measures 93x47x18.5mm and weighs in at 160g. All packs were designed to produce high voltage with low internal resistance and utilize 5mm bullet connectors.

Sunpadow Phantom II Black Label LiPo packs

Sunpadow have announced the release of their new Phantom II Black Label competition LiPo battery range. Listening to the feedback of their factory drivers, the packs utilise a new technology and production process, making for improved performance while being more cost efficient for the customer at the same time. The range includes standard and shorty options with the standard size range coming as 8800mAh (25.1mm/308g), 6600mAh (23.1mm/312g), 6300mAh (23.1mm/288g), 6000mAh (23.1mm/295g), and 5600mAh (23.1mm/277g) variants. The shorty batteries are available as 2S 5100mAh (25.1mm/215g), 4500mAh (25.1mm/214g) and 4000mAh (18.5mm/157g) options and also as 8000mAh (18.5mm/155g) 1S 1/12th scale battery. All feature black hardcases with black labels and they come in zipped storage containers.

1up Racing have introduced a new 6S LiPo battery for their popular Pro Pit Iron. The increased power of the 6S pack offers fastest ever heat up and recovery tomes and enough capacity to power the iron at full temp for over two hours. The 1000mAh softcase pack measures a super compact 70x34x32mm and it comes pre-soldered with an XT60 power plug and and industry-standard balancer connector.

GForce Drift Special ACG 2600mAh LiPo battery pack

GForce have introduced their new Drift Special ACG super shorty LiPo battery pack specially designed for drift cars. The battery measures only 69×46.5×24.5mm, making it about 30mm shorter than a standard shorty battery, allowing to shift the pack forth and back in a wider range, helping to adjust the car’s weight bias more easily. The hardcase battery weighs in at 142g and it utilises 4mm connector tubes.

GForce Star Pack Dancing Rider LiPo battery pack

Coming from GForce and made for Tamiya’s T3-01 Dancing Rider and Dual Rider trikes as well as the SW-01 Comical Lunch Box truck is the Star Pack 7.4V 1400mAh LiPo battery pack. The soft case battery is a direct replacement for the standard battery holders and it offers improved power, runtime and reliability. The pack measures 69×49.5×14.5mm, it weighs in at 74g and it comes pre-wired with a Tamiya power connector and an industry standard JST-XH balancer port for easy and secure charging.

GForce Dyna 7.4V 3800mAh shorty LiPo battery

GForce is busy adding more competition LiPo battery packs to their growing range with the latest addition being a lightweight low-profile 3800mAh shorty battery. The pack is built using high-quality 65C/130C cells that allow to construct a low profile 18.5mm tall battery of just 155g of weight. The battery has a 93x46mm footprint and it is ideal for all applications that require high power output but not the utmost of capacity.
