Team Tekin have announced the release of their Power Cell, a 3400mAh 7.4V 23C LiPo pack. Suitable for use in most touring cars and other non saddle pack configured cars, further details are sparse, but it is supplied in a protective hard case and has top mounted connection points and balancer port. UPDATE. According to Tekin president Jim Campbell, this pack is already ROAR legal and there will different versions and sizes coming out in the future.

Team Orion have released the Platinum II, a 5000mAh 7.4V LiPo pack, the latest in their already extensive line-up. The 20C cells are once more made by Kokam, and they have been mounted in a rugged impact-resistant protective case, while for further protection the pack has an integrated fuse that protects it in the event of any problems that may occur. The Platinum II features a balancer connection and is supplied with two 4mm gold connectors and a Tamiya plug mounted cable.

Alien Power has released some new stock spec series cells which have been pushed and matched in a similar way to their previously released EP4600 cells. Specially developed for stock drivers they have really high voltage rates that have been enhanced using the company’s proprietary voltage increasing system that permanently alters the internal structure of the cell, resulting in increased voltage and lower internal resistance. Cycling and matching is also done on the latest state of the art computerized equipment which is continuously monitored and calibrated at scheduled intervals to ensure the most accurately matched cells.
