McPappy Racing Brushless Dyno
Today’s brushless racing introduced new variables, such as mechanical timing, speedo timing, RPM ranges, rotor diameters on top of the rollout variable. The new McPappy Racing DIY Brushless Dyno helps you to make sense of some of that. This dyno platform will allow you to test your motors against a brushless slave motor that provides consistent resistance from test to test. It was designed to accommodate multiple test configurations: direct coupler in between both motors, direct coupler with flywheel in between both motors, offset the motors using 2 pinions, offset the motors using 2 pinions flywheel. The flywheel provides inertia resistance and the brushless slave provides constant resistance. Together they reproduce similar track resistance. The key component to this dyno platform is a huge piece of 1/4″ 6061 aluminum which acts as a giant heat sink. Two large fans and all of that aluminum mass will bring the temperature of the motors and resistors back down to room temperature very quickly. This allows you to run many tests very quickly. To find your most powerful motor and speedo combination is actually quite simple. Your overall goal is to spin the flywheel and slave motor as fast as you can with the least amount of amp draw. The McPappy Racing DIY Brushless Dyno can help you do just that. You will be able to find your strongest motors and most efficient combination of mechanical timing, speedo timing, RPM ranges, and rotor diameters.

Grid RC Ve8 motor mount
Grid RC have released this new motor mount for the Hot Bodies Ve8. Designed to support the popular Neu/Castle and Tekin motors, it uses an eccentric style of mesh adjustment that allows precise mesh settings and when locked, holds it regardless of how hard the vehicle is driven. The ball bearing motor plate will support four mounting screws for most 1/8 motors and a special pattern for the Tekin that uses six holes. The Grid motor mount allows enough spacing so that the sensor cable can be used and the Grid custom top differential bulkhead plate is also included with the mount kit.

Speed Passion Ultra Sportsman Version 3.0
Speed Passion have introduced their new Ultra Sportsman Version 3.0 sensored technology stock brushless motors with Locked End Bell (LEB) and zero timing design. Available from 10.5R to 25.5R versions, there will be special mod version 7.5R and 8.5R for off road racing applications. The Locked End Bell design (LEB) prevents any alteration or adjustment/modification from an outside source and special marking on the end bell and the rotor gives a perfectly clear identification if it is legal to use without any timely inspection. The motor is impossible to be altered and it is perfect for any type of Spec Racing especially when the motor is used as a hand out. The entire V3 Ultra Sportsman series motors include Speed Passion’s new and improved one piece design and all new V3 Zero and fixed timing sensored base technology which provides smooth power delivery. Plus, their own bullet plugs connector feature that was previously only to be found on their professional V3 Competition series motors is now standard on the V3 Ultra Sportsman series motors.
