New Ninja .12 and .28 motors Categories - Engines, Ninja, Off Road, On Road, Products - comments closed
MID Mugen in Germany have announced the release of these 2 updated motors from Ninja, the .12 touring car motor (MR12 T01A) and the .28 truggy motor (MR28 M01A), in time for the 2007 race season. The new motors are similar to the .21 buggy and circuit motors that were released near the end of last year in that these new motors also now have been upgraded and sport the ‘A’ suffix at the end of their product number which mostly equates to better tolerances amongst the parts that will improve performance and reliability.

Team Orion fuel systems Categories - Accessories, Engines, Fuel, On Road, Products, Team Orion - comments closed
Team Orion seem to have been thinking a lot about fuel lines and back pressure lines, what with the release of their constant pressure device (CPD) that we showed you yesterday and now this multiple line fuel tubing system. The system uses a t-shaped nipple to split the fuel from the tank and then a 2 ended fuel inlet nipple on the carburettor which together tries to ensure that the fuel makes it from the tank to the engine even when going through the fastest of bends. How legal this is i dont know, as the tech inspection at events usually measure the tank capacity along with the fuel line to the carburettor and with 2 lines it may pose a problem?

Nuernberg Toy fair - Engine round up Categories - Engines, Exhibitions, Products - comments closed
With so many products being shown at the fair we have decided to do a few rounds up of certain types of products, this first one being for engines. We have already seen the Mario Rossi tuned GRP motors and the new Team Orion CRF range or motors so whats left, well quite a lot actually. The engine above is the Danielle Ielasi edition motor from Picco and we would expect that it features the same work as every other ‘edition’ engine on the market but in a Picco motor and its available in circuit and buggy versions.
UPDATE: Added 3 more engines to the list.

Team Losi Nitrotane fuel Categories - Engines, Fuel, Products, Team Losi - comments closed
Team Losi have releaed this new range of fuels made in association with VP Racing fuels who are more used to created fuels for full scale drag racing vehicles. The fuel will be available in 20% and 30% nitro levels and are ready to buy in both gallon and quarter gallon tins.
The premium ingredients in Nitrotane Race Formula offer a lower acidity level than most other nitro fuels on the market, ensuring that your engine will be fully protected against internal corrosion. And no other fuel can offer your nitro vehicle the same level of power and protection that goes into 300+ mph competition drag racers. The combination of VP Racing’s quality and the nitro racing expertise of Team Losi means that Nitrotane Race Formula is ready to take you to the finish line, tank after tank.

Team Orion CRF Constant Pressure Device Categories - Accessories, Engines, Exhausts, Products, Team Orion - comments closed
Team Orion have shown this unique and rather innovative constant pressure device (CPD) on their stand at this weeks show in Germany. Created to solve engine tuning problems that arise when you switch from full throttle to low speed, high pressure generated from running at full throttle is still present and it is pushing fuel to the carburettor inlet even though the carburettor is closed. Because of this the mixture will become too rich, causing slower acceleration and wasting fuel. This device solves that.
The CRF CPD acting as a pressure valve system, effectively resolves this problem by regulating the amount of pressure going to the fuel tank. The valve allows a constant amount of pressure to be sent to the fuel tank, by opening or closing itself depending on the engine’s rotation speed.
The eagled eyed amongst you would have noticed this device on Adrien Bertins Kyosho from our photos yesterday.
