Team Orion Wasp Rev .12 up close Categories - Engines, Products, Team Orion - comments closed
Italian site RC Bazar have a nice article (in Italian) of the Team Orion Wasp Rev .12 with lots of pictures. This is the first time i have seen inside this engine and if you havent seen it yourself it will make for interesting viewing. As many know this engine by CRF for Team Orion is a very unconventional motor that features many patent pending technologies so its nice to see it up close.

Through Mirage Racing, RS Falcon have announced the release of this .28 truggy motor. It just shows the growing competitiveness of the truggy class when competition engine manufacturers are making motors specifically for it. This seems like a very nice motor, from the same stable as Ninja and Boss, and features some very cutting edge internals as you would expect from a motor with big names like GRP and Mario Rossi behind its design.
You can view more detailed pics and information here.

Orcan fuel and batteries Categories - Batteries, Fuel, Orcan, Products - comments closed
Not necessarily new products but the Orcan range of products have received a rather nice identity revamp. A while back we featured a rather nice motor cooler from Orcan, a brand belonging to SMI, the importers of Xray, Hudy and Novarossi in Germany. The Orcan fuel uses high quality components and has been developed over 10 years for competition use, winning many National and International championships, whilst the cells are matched 4200mAh suitable for serious racers. Expect to see air filters, glow plugs and oils for off road racing from Orcan in 2007.

Outerwears Pre Filter Categories - Accessories, Engines, Off Road, Outerwears, Products - comments closed
Outerwears have released this neat pre filter that stops the heavy crap that builds up on your airfilter before getting to the foam underneath, thus allowing the filter to do the job it was intended for. It says its designed to fit the stock air filter that comes on the RTR Losi 8ight but im sure it would work on others too.
Outerwears Pre-filters have been tested and proven to provide maximum performance from your hi-performance air filter longer. Pre-filters deflect dirt away from the air filter instead of packing up and slowing down air flow.

OPS Super Track 14mm Categories - Engines, OPS, On Road, Products, Racing - comments closed
OPS are back, at least i think they went away, and have now introduced this OPS Super Track 14mm. This motor is a 3.5cc engine for, as the name suggests, circuit racing and the 14mm is seemingly important as it allows an improvement in the flow of the fuel mixture. What is also unique about this motor is that to save weight and in turn aid the acceleration of the crankshaft they have milled many small holes in the outer diameter of the small end side of the crankshaft. Doing this instead of milling the center of the crankshaft and adding silicone as is currently the norm, does a better job at reducing the centerfugal weight and therefore effects the performance more significantly.
You can view lots more pictures of the inside of the engine here.
