THE Engine
JQ Products got in touch to tell us about THE Engine. Rumour had it that JQ Products are going to release their own engine to go along with THE Car and now it is here. Being a high performance, proven short stroke engine produced in Japan the main goals of the design are a smooth power band, long runtime, ease of tuning and most of all, consistency and stable running along with the possibility for everyone to have 10 minutes runs without the need for refuelling. The engine with a bore of 16.6mm and a stroke of 16.0mm comes supplied with 7, 6.5 and 6mm Venturi inserts, a manifold gasket and dust caps. The release is expected to be late July.

TopRC air filter & after run oil
TopRC release three new chemicals in the form of special air filter and after run oil for nitro engines. The two different air filter oil are formulated for on- and off-road applications allowing best possible air permeability without sacrificing dust filtering making the engine breath better. The after run oil contains a mixture of oils to conserve nitro engines after use. It also prevents the formation of rust and lubricates moving engine parts before cold starts and break-in.

Ninja JX21B02 off-road racing engine
Mugen USA got in touch to tell us about the new Ninja JX21B02 .21 off-road buggy and truggy nitro racing engine. The company teamed up with O.S. Engine to create a 3-port long stroke engine with a new piston/sleeve design. The long stroke creates a stronger more linear power band from low end top fuel high end speed while the redesigned crankcase and crankshaft make for better performance and higher fuel economy. The light weight cooling head is 10 fins high but it sits 8mm lower than the previous Ninja engine for a low centre of gravity.

S-Workz BB80 offroad starter box
S-Workz have released their new BB80 offroad starter box. Featuring a strong, lightweight construction it can be powered by 1-4pc 6-cell 7.2v batteries or a 12V 7A lead acid pack. The starter wheel is driven a single high torque 775 motor, which is run through a drive reduction gearbox, and the box itself is supplied with easily adjustable mounting brackets to allow you to align a wide range of buggies and truggies.

Novarossi N21-5T basic sport engine
When Novarossi launched their Basic Sport Competition engine line back in 2009, demand exceeded expectation and so as a result, the N21-5T has received an update. The N21-5T comes with a new crankcase with a new internal porting design for a more optimized flow. There are also external changes to the crankcase, such as a different pattern of cooling ribs along the crankcase.

Fastrax Power-Start starter box
Fastrax’s Power-Start is the ultimate starting solution for nitro vehicles. Featuring a single belt drive system turned by twin 775 size electric motors with internal cooling fans, the power and torque is enough to turn over 1/8th and 1/10 size engines. Ninja JXB02 buggy engine
Mugen Seiki have released some images of their new upcoming Ninja JXB02 buggy engine. Expected to be available around the end of June, the engine features a new low profile light weight cooling head, which is about 8mm lower than that on the B01A. It has a new long stroke piston & sleeve, new button, a new black crankcase and carburetor, with 7mm venturi, and finally a new crankshaft with DLC treatment.

Hudy Starbox RX8 conversion set
Hudy have released this conversion set for their Starbox starter box to allow the perfect positioning of the Xray 1/8th scale RX8 chassis. The set includes a new box end plate, rear positioning bracket and the different posts and fasteners required to complete the conversion.
