VRC Pro Column February

In February VRC Pro will release the 2008 Bangkok World Championship track, one with the 205m long 1:10 ISTC lay-out, and one with the 155m 1:12 sportscar lay-out. Both tracks are highly anticipated by the electric racers as this track has become legendary because of the immensely close battle between Marc Rheinard and Atsushi Hara. Ronald Volker wins VRC EP World title
Yokomo/LRP ace Ronald Völker has added a second VRC Pro World Championship title to his impressive racing legacy. After already winning in 2008 he was now victorious in the 2011 VRC Pro worlds held at the Eppelheim track, the very same track where the LRP Touring Car Masters will be held end of March. In the final Ronald was challenged by Martin Wollanka from Austria who managed to stay within 3 tenths of Ronald but a crash in lap 11 put him 2 seconds back and although he was able to make 2 tenth up in the next 5 laps Ronald ‘Mr. Consistent’ Völker cruised home with a 3.5 second gap at the finish line on Wollanka.

VRC Column – March update
The HB Cyclone was the first electric chassis that was modeled for VRC Pro, back in 2006. By now this chassis has been replaced by their latest development, the HB TCX. This caused us to go back to the 3D drawing board and model the new chassis in hi res. With the TCX now finished we have our electric car line up ready for launch.
