New Xray 1/8 nitro buggy coming soon

New Xray 1/8 nitro buggy coming soon

Xray have released a first teaser image of what appears to be the 2014 version of the XB9 buggy. As with most preview images it hides more than it shows and so only updated body lines are visible with the new body offering lower, more angled side pods with a raised section in the middle and a steeper section towards the rear wing. Under the hood we expect new suspension parts as the team is running an updated design for some time now with the front likely will be of a “mixed” pivot ball system with horizontal lower and vertical upper balls while the rear end may also receive an update with wider suspension mounts and shorter arms. For now the kit’s new features remain purely speculation with definite information becoming available very soon.

Awesomatix A700 gear diff V2

Awesomatix A700 gear diff V2

Seen for the first time in public at the recent ETS season opening race in the Czech Republic Awesomatix now have the V2 gear differential for the A700 touring car available. The updated version offers ultra smooth running and a newly designed floating inner O-ring system to compensate the fluid’s volume expansion once the oil starts to heat-up during a race. This makes the diff more consistent throughout the run and also generates a more consistent and predictable car with increased rear traction. New filling and bleeding holes within both outdrives allow for easy building, setup and maintenance, leaving a “bubble-free” differential. The set comes without internal gears, cross pins or washers but according to Awesomatix the latest Xray T4 items will do the job just fine.

JConcepts 8ight-E 3.0 Silencer body shell

JConcepts 8ight-E 3.0 Silencer body shell

JConcepts introduce the Silencer body shell for the TLR 8ight-E 3.0 buggy. Designed especially for the use on high-speed tracks the newly designed body features a narrowed, Finnisher stance cockpit that allows for smoother high-speed transition and increased flow in and out of the body for electrical air-flow. A deep recess behind the cab features dual channeling out the rear providing air escape along with rear-end stability. The Silencer side-pods have a clipped rear-end, narrowing the rear by angling just in front of the rear tires while the extended runner features on the rear-end of the body enhance the force placed on the rear pods during high-speed acceleration. The main pods are heavily chamfered and a more heat-shrink design over motor and speed control area are highlighted features and the body is capped off with a cockpit “shark fin” for more high-speed tracking stability and increased roof stiffness. As usual the body comes clear, includes window masks and a decal sheet.

RDRP Ultra 1/10 shock O-ring set

RDRP Ultra 1/10 shock O-ring set

New from Revolution Design Racing Products comes the Ultra 1/10th shock O-ring set. The seals are made from a specially formulated compound that is much less prone to “swell” under the influence of silicone shock oil meaning a better seat of the seals within the damper cartridges over a longer period of time. The O-rings also have a lower break away point compared to standard “orange” seals for a more sensitive damper action. The O-rings come in a 16-piece set, enough to equip 8 shocks, and they fit nearly all of today’s 1/10th on-road and off-road shock absorbers.
