The ‘Most successful mid-motor 2WD buggy’ has become even better, according to X Factory’s own Chazz Sinclair. Really? We will find out. When US based company X Factory introduced the X-6 three years ago it made a huge impact on the otherwise ‘traditional’ 2WD off-road buggy market. The X-6 utilized an unconventional design by dropping the popular rear motor design for the promising mid-motor layout associated with certain Italian sports cars … Despite that fact that some voices arose that state a real 2WD buggy has to have a rear mounted motor, the success of the X-6, especially in the UK, showed that X Factory made the correct decision. After introducing the upgraded ‘4-Gear’ version of the X-6 last year, X Factory have just released the new X-6 Squared with further improvements to make for a totally ‘dialled’ and near perfect ‘out of the box’ buggy. KM Racing Gas Foam tires
KM Racing have released their own line of racing foam tires for both 1/8th scale and 1/10th scale 200mm. Coming pre mounted on durable white rims, the 1/8th scale wheels use a 6 spoke design similar to the Kyosho wheels, while the 1/10th rims use a 12 spoke lightweight design. Made using high quality Italian foam, they are available in the usual range of shores.

Zeppin Racing 8ight chassis protectors
Hong Kong based Zeppin Racing have released new rear end chassis protectors for the Losi 8ight buggy and truggy, similar to those made by DE Racing. Low profile, they are made from a soft but tough plastic, they protect the rear of the chassis plate and are mounted using the cars 4 rear block screws. Weighing only 5 grams each, they are sold in packs of 2.

Team Azarashi D4 & 501X Womoog shell
Team Azarashi have shown some early photos of their Womoog body shells designed to fit on both the Hot Bodies Cyclone D4 and the Tamiya TRF501X. As with previous versions of this body, these too will offer high levels of stability and a cool new look and the photos here show the almost final version, with only small modifications needing to be made before the bodies’ release in the near future.
