Our site sponsors Capricorn RC have announced the release of their “V” Velocity Carbon tyres. Available pre mounted on 1/10th scale Velocity Carbon wheels, the tyre has been cut from a single foam sheet and not from 2 sheets and glued together like most other tyres on the market. This gives shore uniformity, better performance, constant and uniform wear as well as more selective and accurate shore matching. Available in both 26mm and 30mm they come in 35, 37, 40, 42 and 45 shores.

For the buggy, the company’s competitive Hole Shot is now available in soft XTR compound, in addition to the previously released M2 and M3 compounds. For truggys, they get 3 new additions to the LPR, Low Profile Race, range of tires with the addition of the Hole Shot, Bow-Tie and Crime fighter, all of which are available in soft XTR, super-soft M2, and ultra-soft M3 compounds, as well as coming as pre-mounts with the M2 and M3 compounds.

Dirtz Tire Mounting cleaner

New from X-Factory, under the Brian Kinwald Dirtz Dialed Partz label, comes this tire mounting cleaner. Designed to take the mold release off the tires, as well as grease off the wheels it evaporates quickly meaning you will spend less time doing tire prep. Brian, who discovered this special blend, had the following to say.
U.S. tires are various compounds of rubber and they all have mold release on them which absolutely must be removed. The glue won’t stick properly to either the tire or the wheel if you don’t clean both I’ve tried everything you can imagine to clean tires, from motor spray to 91% alcohol. Until now, nothing really worked. I love this stuff, and you will too!

LRP VTEC Kamikaze Buggy tires

After a long testing and development period, LRP have announced the release of their all new VTEC Kamikaze tire line. Specially developed for off road racing, the Kamikaze sets new benchmarks in terms of life, wear and grip in today’s off road racing. The LRP R&D team, in close cooperation with their team drivers, have developed a special compound that provides the highest grip and longest lifespan for any racing application and will be offered in a soft compound for highest performance during qualifying, as well as a medium compound for finals. Also available as pre-mounts, that use LRP’s special gluing system to provide the highest durability, they come with a special moulded insert which reduces tire wear to a minimum. In addition, the all new Kamikaze tire features revolutionary venting holes to aid performance through optimum air circulation, avoiding pressure in the tire ensuring the insert works at even the highest rpm. To easily distinguish between the different compounds the hardness of the tire is embedded in the side wall.

JACO Prism 1.5 & Rubberz on Prism

JACO have announced that their Rubberz line of pre mounted rubber sedan tires now come glued on the company’s new Prism wheel. This new wheel has been designed to specifically suit rubber tires with just the right amount of flex for superior traction and durability. Also new from JACO is the release of pre mounted Nitro Shoes to their new Prism 1.5 wheel. Featuring a 1.5 degree taper, the wheel has a smaller inner edge diameter which matches the camber used on most nitro touring cars and so ensures an even depth of foam accross the surface. JACO claim these new lightweight wheels offer a longer tire life, increased traction, improved forward bite and more consistent performance.
