Groskamp sluit aan zich officieel bij de Hartstocht van de Snelheid

ETS Rd 2 - Groskamp sluit zich aan bij SpeedPassion

Jilles Groskamp zal officieel de Hartstocht van de Snelheid voor de rest van het het rennen seizoen vertegenwoordigen. Op het kuilgebied hier bij de 2de ronde van Veel meer gesteunde ETS, behandelt de hoogste Internationale bestuurder Tamiya die aan ons wordt bevestigd dat hij heeft goedgekeurd de Hartstocht van de Snelheid om hem van motoren voor de rest van het jaar te voorzien. Jilles heeft Hong Kong in werking gesteld slechts gemaakt tot motoren sinds het begin van het seizoen maar dat overeenkomst wordt geïnkte bij TITC in Thailand 2 weken geleden die ook de Nederlandse bestuurder de Hartstocht van de Snelheid bij Kampioenschappen de van dit jaar van de Wereld zullen zien rennen.

S400 wint Nosram Zes Reeksen Enduro

Het serpent rapporteert over de verwezenlijkingen van hun Zuidafrikaans team, dat een belangrijke overwinning voor S400 als ploeg van het drie mensenSerpent van Dave Wiseman noteerde, Mike Wiseman en Tony D' Oliviera nam algemene overwinning in Nosram Zes Reeksen, een duurzaamheidsreeks die in uur drie 6 races neemt die over een periode in werking worden gesteld van twee maand. De eerste gebeurtenis bij het strakke Toevoerkanaal van de Gateway Umhlanga, zag een strak strijdrecht op het eind, met de S400 auto van Mike, Dave en Tony D' Oliviera, nemen wint door enkel één overlapping, ong. 16 seconden, na 6 uren van het rennen. De 2de gebeurtenis vond bij een ander strak spoor plaats in Camperdown maar jammer genoeg moest deze gebeurtenis op het centrale punt worden kortgeknipt toen de hemel over het spoor openstelden. De definitieve ronde werd gehouden bij het spoor Southway in Durban waar drie S400 auto's liepen. Opnieuw een strakke strijd tot de definitieve twee uren wanneer bewogen duidelijk van Wiseman/D' Oliviera team om te nemen en met het beveiligde algemene reeksoverwinning wint. Tweede in def. ging naar een andere S400 in de handen die van Shaun & Mike White, met Neil Robinson drijven terwijl in het reizen van EP van het algemene statusSerpent de auto een 1-2 met Brandon Mei nam, Kim Hein en Shane Sudbury die hun voorbeeld neemt aan tweede in de definitieve status.

Franceschi wint de Voorraad van Sao Paulo Champs Rd1

Serpent have a report on their site from the first round of the Sao Paolo Championship held at the Sam’s Club track in Santo Andre, a city within Greater Sao Paulo, the State’s Capital. The format saw each driver get just a single qualifying round followed by four heats, the best three of which determine the overall result. Starting from pole the two first wins came easy for Serpent racer Felipe Franceschi but his team mate Thiago ‘Poldo’ Podolsky, although very fast, faced mechanical problems with the breakage of his front belt followed by the rear preventing him from getting a good score. In the third heat it would be Felipe’s turn suffer a broken belt, the team putting these failures down to the debris on a number of dirty spots on the track. With Felipe out, Poldo was the favorite but his back luck continued as a prototype aluminum central axle that is currently being developed by the team broke. The fourth and final heat saw Felipe take his third win of the day and with overall victory in the opening round of the championship in front of Corally racer Lincoln Almeida in 2nd and Xray driver Marcos Mayer in 3rd

Marc Fischer wins Langenfeld Nats Qualifier

Law weekend saw a round of the qualification series for the German 1/10th EP Touring car Nationals held in Langenfeld, Germany. Top Team Corally driver, and current National Champion, Marc Fischer was on form TQ’ing the modified class and going on to win the race with his RDX Phi. In the first final Marc was able to lap all other competitors, while in the 2nd final he won by by just 4 seconds, to take the overall win in front of team mate Lars Treder, with Pascal Schonrock in 3rd. In the stock class it was Patrick Pasch that took the win also driving the Corally RDX Phi.

Belgian EP Touring car Nats Rd1

The first round of the Belgian 1/10th scale EP on road Nationals was run last weekend indoor in Charleroi. The event had 38 drivers in two classes, EFRA and 19 turn, and they were presented with a very fast but also technical track to contend with. After a tough battle in the EFRA class, it was Olivier Bultynck with his Corally Phi who took the win in front of Xray driver Benoit Thomaes in 2nd, while the 3rd spot went to Demsey Jacob driving a Tamiya 416. In the 19 turn class, it was again a Corally driver that was the overall winner, with Urbain Swijsen placing in front of runners up Rico Claeys and Thomas Stockman.

Niclas Nilsson wins Mid Swedish Cup Rd7

Serpent have a brief report from their young team driver Niclas Nilsson, who was in action again last weekend with his S400 for the 7th round of the Middle Swedish Cup where he took another win. A leading force in the Swedish EP Touring Car scene, Nilsson and his S400 had the pace throughout the event winning all legs of the A-main to take the overall victory over 2nd placed Kenneth Malksson and Niklas Filnk in 3rd.

Chuck Berg wins the Chi-Town Shootout

Team Orion are reporting on the 2008 Chi-Town Shootout that was held at the beginning of March at the Leisure Hours Raceway in Joliet, IL. Racers from Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin all attended this annual event to race on the hi-traction clay track which allowed the racers to run slicks at the beginning of the day when the track was wet, then switch over to tires with a little more pin as the track started to dry out. Team Orion driver Chuck Berg was the man to beat in 2wd 19T buggy class, TQ’ing every round of qualifying to guarantee him the first spot on the grid for the main event. At the start of the tone, Berg shot off the line and after a couple laps he had stretched out a comfortable lead on the field. Chuck then went on and ran mistake free for the rest of the main winning by a considerable margin.

ISTC World Championship Thailand Warm-up

If you couldn’t make it to the RCS track in Bangkok, Thailand for this years TITC to test on the same track will be used for this years 1/12th scale and 1/10th scale Touring car Championships, then you have another chance to do so when the official Pre World Championship is run on the track on the 25th - 27th of April. Run according to IFMAR rules, this will be a great trial run for both the racers and organisers alike. The official event site is not yet up but should be soon so keep checking the link below for updates.
