Darren, being the reigning 2WD National champion didn’t seem to be too concerned with his lack of practice - taking The TQ and a hard-fought win. The 4WD class wasn’t quite so straight forward for Darren, with only two finishes from the four qualifiers he only lined up 4th on the grid. Ellis Stafford, double-winner at the previous round was on pole and looked devastatingly quick. It was Darrens day however and he took the last two legs of the A final to secure a fantastic double victory to mark his return to the class.
