We got sent a brief report from last weekends JBRL series round 1 race that was run at Revelation Race in California. With an entry of 225 drivers, it was Losi racer Adam Drake that claimed the TQ in both the Pro Buggy and Pro Truggy classes and in the finals, the Drake was able to convert his good start position into a win in both classes. The first 1/8th scale BRCA National was held at the weekend at the very wet and muddy track in Ware, Herts. Team XS Power were in touch to tell us that top US gas racer Jeremy Cupps has signed to their company to run IDM engines for the following season. Equipo de Potencia se XS en contacto para decirnos que arriba EE.UU. gas atleta Jeremy Cupps ha firmado para su compañía para correr IDM motores para la temporada siguiente. Team XS Power also wanted to report that they are now the exclusive importer for Shepherd Micro racing in North America. We have received word that Kyosho America team driver, and USA Worlds team #8, Cody King has changed fuel suppliers, moving from Sidewinder to Byron Fuel. We received a brief report from round one of the 2008 Southern California Saturday Series, that was held at Pro-Line’s track in Banning, CA. The opening round of the Dutch 1/10th 200mm Nationals was run last weekend in Groningen in the very north of the country. Changing weather conditions affected everyone and for the NK class it was Serpent racer Remy Moller that claimed the pole position in front of his team mate Ruud Schuitmaker. The 2nd round of the Portuguese 1/8th scale buggy Nationals was run last weekend at the Torres Vedras track, near Lisbon. La 2 ª ronda de los portugueses 1/8th escala buggy nacionales se ha ejecutado el pasado fin de semana en la pista de Torres Vedras, cerca de Lisboa. Following the Semi finals it was Kyosho factory driver Miguel Matias who would start he main final from pole position, while the winner of the B Semi was Rodrigo Luis, who would start in 2nd. Después de la semi final se Kyosho fábrica conductor Miguel Matías, que se iniciaría el orador principal de la última pole position, mientras que el ganador de la B fue Semi Luis Rodrigo, que se iniciaría en 2 ª. In the main final Matias set the fastest lap of the race, and after 45 minutes he was able to take the victory from the Hong Nor pairing of Rodrigo Luis in 2nd and Fernado Almeida in 3rd. The RCCAOI Irish National On road Championships got underway over the weekend in Dublin for both 1:10th 200mm and 1:8th scale classes. In 1/8th scale it was business as usual for National Champion Clive Connolly who TQ’d the event ahead of his Serpent team-mate Michael Byrne. In the half hour final Connolly cruised to victory to win in front of Kyosho driver Austin Elliot in 2nd and Graeme Lougheed in 3rd, who set the fastest lap of the race.
