Adán Drake domina SoCal SS Rd1 Categories - Events, Gas, Off Road, Racing - add a comment 
Recibimos un breve informe el redondo de las 2008 series meridionales de California sábado, de que fuimos sostenidos en la pista del Pro-Line en la prohibición, CA. El corredor Adán Drake TQ' d de Losi del equipo el cochecillo y las clases truggy y fue en el triunfo ambos también. En la clase del cochecillo, él ganó del rey de Cody de Kyosho en 2do y el conductor Jeremy Kortz de Hobao en 3ro, mientras que en truggy, era el apareamiento de Kyosho de Levi Jackson y de Ryan Lutz que redondearon hacia fuera los 3 superiores.
La abertura redonda de los 1s/10o nacionales holandeses de 200m m fue funcionada el fin de semana pasado en Groninga en el mismo norte del país. Las condiciones atmosféricas que cambiaban afectaron cada uno y para la clase de NK era el corredor Remy Moller de la serpiente que demandó la posición del poste delante de su compañero Ruud Schuitmaker del equipo. En el final Remy conseguido inmediatamente en el plomo pero desafortunadamente tenía problemas técnicos con puesto le hacia fuera y dado el conducir a Schuitmaker con detrás justo de Daan Jacobs del conductor de Kyosho en 2do. Koen Geurds había venido del 10mo punto en la rejilla que componía algunos lugares y podría cerrarse en el par principal, que estaban ocupados lucha sobre la posición. Desafortunadamente para Koen, en los 5 minutos pasados sus neumáticos fueron usados hacia fuera y éste hizo difícil de conseguir en una batalla con los 2 conductores delanteros. Ruud y Daan habían sido en él la raza entera y en el regazo pasado Ruud incurrió en una equivocación pequeña en el final del recto principal, acortando el interior de la esquina y haciendo girar su coche alrededor (véase la secuencia abajo), éste era bastante para que Daan pase y tome el triunfo con Ruud menos que un segundo detrás en 2do y Koen en 3ro solamente bajo otra parte posteriora del segundo.

El 2do redondo de los 1s/8o nacionales portuguéss del cochecillo de la escala fue funcionado el fin de semana pasado en la pista de Torres Vedras, cerca de Lisboa. Following the Semi finals it was Kyosho factory driver Miguel Matias who would start he main final from pole position, while the winner of the B Semi was Rodrigo Luis, who would start in 2nd. In the main final Matias set the fastest lap of the race, and after 45 minutes he was able to take the victory from the Hong Nor pairing of Rodrigo Luis in 2nd and Fernado Almeida in 3rd.

The RCCAOI Irish National On road Championships got underway over the weekend in Dublin for both 1:10th 200mm and 1:8th scale classes. In 1/8th scale it was business as usual for National Champion Clive Connolly who TQ’d the event ahead of his Serpent team-mate Michael Byrne. In the half hour final Connolly cruised to victory to win in front of Kyosho driver Austin Elliot in 2nd and Graeme Lougheed in 3rd, who set the fastest lap of the race. In 200mm class it was Eoin Doran that took the top qualifying spot with his Xray NT1 in front of Clive Connolly and that was how it stayed in the final with Doran taking the win from Connolly in 2nd and Colm Gaffney staying out of trouble to take 3rd.

EFRA have been in touch once more, this time to inform everyone about the current EFRA list of approved 1/8th mufflers for this season. Testing of the pipes and finalising of the list took longer than expect due to the number of pipes applying for approval and also the weather in the Netherlands didn’t really help in providing good testing weather.

Mario Spiniello takes Italian Nats Rd1 Categories - Gas, On Road, National, Racing - comments closed
The first round of the Italian 1/10th 200mm National Championships was run last weekend at the Messina track, host of the 2005 1/8th scale World Championships. In qualifying for the race it was Umberto Gentile that claimed the pole position in front of local racer Antonino Schepis, while 3rd and 4th went to Mario Spiniello and Guido Barbera. A great start in the final meant that Spiniello could get his TM G4 into the lead were he stayed, taking the win by 1 lap from Xray driver Guido Barbera in 2nd, with Domenico Calce rounding out the podium in 3rd.

Bas de Konink wins Truggy.nl Rd1 Categories - Events, Gas, Off Road, Racing - comments closed 
The first round of the 2008 Truggy.nl Cup took place at the weekend on a temporary track on the beach at the Hoek van Holland. With 5 heats being run over 2 classes on a 360 meter long track and semi finals to decide the final starting order for the main final, it was Stefan Petrich that would start the Master class on pole, while Marnix Bul was the pole man in the Student class. The Master final saw some really close driving amongst the top 3 and all finished the 30 minute race on the same lap with Bas de Konink taking the win by 3 seconds in front of Marc Kreisig in 2nd and pole man Stefan Petrich ending his race in 3rd. The Student class was won by Jeffrey van der Vaart, with lady racer Brenda Schutten in 2nd and Lars Verkerk in 3rd.

Josué Artiles wins Rd2 Spanish Nats Categories - Gas, On Road, National, Racing - comments closed 
The 2nd round of the Spanish 1/8th scale on road Nationals was run last weekend in Valencia in the south of the country at the same track that will play host to this years European Championships. Qualifying saw round 1 winner Nacho Lopez, take the pole position by less than a second from fellow Mugen racer Josué Artiles in 2nd, while Carlos Peracho and Vicente Eres rounded out the top 4. In the main final Nacho had some problems and would finish the race back in 7th, but up front it was Josué Artiles that would take the win by over a lap from Serpent driver Oscar Cabezas in 2nd, while the 3rd spot went to guest Italian racer Marco Vanni only 1 second further back.
