Last weekend saw the 2nd round of the Swiss 1/8th scale National Championships run in the west of the country in the town of Aigle. Última semana viu a 2 ª rodada do Campeonato Nacional Suíço 1/8th escala correr no oeste do país, na cidade de Aigle. Qualifying saw the pole position go to Serpent racer Shasa Lackner, ahead of Novarossi team mate Marco Müller in 2nd, with Christophe Pethoud and Mattia Pesenti rounding out the top 4. Qualificação viu o pole position ir para Serpent racer Shasa Lackner, Novarossi à frente do companheiro de equipa Marco Müller, em 2 ª, com Christophe Pethoud e Mattia Pesenti arredondamento para fora do top 4. At the start of the Final Shasa jumped straight into lead and started to pull away from Müller in 2nd place. No início da reta final Shasa saltou em chumbo e começou a puxar afastado de Müller em 2 º lugar. Unfortunately for Lackner at the 35 minute mark he developed radio problems which caused him to crash his car, putting him out of the race. Clive Connolly put the disappointment off just missing out on making the Main Final at the Euro Bs in Austria last weekend behind him when he took a clean sweep of wins in the latest round of the Irish National On road Championships on Sunday. The 3rd round of the 1/8th scale on road Nationals took place at the weekend on the very fast Baanbrekers in Rucphen. The day started on a somber note with a 1 minute silence to remember Belgian racer Koen Joosens and a well known Dutch driver Raymond Soyer who was killed recently during his job as a fireman. Qualification on Sunday started on a wet track and only the 3rd run of heats saw dry track conditions, making this by far the fastest round. Qualificação de domingo começou com uma pista molhada e apenas o 3 º aquece viu correr de pista seca condições, tornando esta, de longe, o mais rápido rodada. Only John Ermen was able to set a 23 lap qualification on his home track to take the pole position for the NK class while in the Nomac class Ronald van den Bergh was able to get the better of Jordy Blok to take the pole position. Rick vencedor V uma corrida Mugen, 1 voltas à frente do motorista Kyosho Ilia Van Gastel em 2o, com Serpent racer John Ermen uma volta ainda mais para trás. In the NOMAC group it was Jordy Block that took the win, ending with an even faster time than Rick V who won the NK group. The Serpent driver took the win by 6 laps from 2nd placed Tim Bosman, while Jeroen Janken claimed the 3rd spot. Last weekend at the Fiorano track in Italy was the 2008 Trofeo Novarossi race for 1/10th and 1/8th scale, and it was attended by all the best Italian racers including Collari, Cristiani, Picco, Solaroli, Pirani, Balestri etc. The weather was perfect for the race and it was last years Última semana em Fiorano a pista na Itália foi o 2008 Trofeo Novarossi corrida para 1/10th e 1/8th escala, e que contou com a presença de todos os melhores pilotos italiano incluindo Collari, Cristiani, Picco, Solaroli, Pirani, etc Balestri O clima foi perfeito para a corrida e foi últimos anos winner vencedor Andrea Cristiani, driving a Serpent, that took the pole position in 1/8th scale from Alberto Picco in 2nd, 4 seconds behind, with Stefano Solaroli in 3rd for Motonica and Lamberto Collari 4th for Kyosho. Last weekend say the HobbyPro Open race run in Hong Kong and it was open for 1/8th and 1/10th scale 200mm classes. Última semana dizer o HobbyPro Open corrida correr em Hong Kong e que foi aberto para 1/8th e 1/10th escala classes 200 milímetros. With practice on Saturday affected by rain, the 100 racers that showed up on Sunday had to use their qualifiers to fine tune their set-up. Com a prática, no sábado afectadas pela chuva, os 100 pilotos que apareceram no domingo, teve de utilizar os seus qualificatórias para afinar as suas set-up. Following the qualifying it was Samel Chiu that TQ’d 1/10th while in 1/8th scale it was Luk Chi Hung that took pole position. Na sequência da qualificação que lhe foi Samel Chiu TQ'd 1/10th, enquanto na escala 1/8th era Luk Chi Hung, que teve pole position. The main finals saw the win going to Dirty in 1/10th scale ahead of Chan Kain Man in 2nd and Lau Yiu Kei in 3rd, while in the 1/8th scale class the win went to Serpent racer Cheung Kin Ming ahead of Team C racers Luk Chi Hung and Choi Kam Man in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Last weekend the second leg of the Krick/Cen Monstertour was held in Mechernich, Germany. Última semana a segunda fase da Krick / CEN Monstertour foi realizada em Mechernich, na Alemanha. The damp and muddy conditions added extra stress on the cars and engines and so only the best equipment would make it through the difficult conditions. These special format races are comprised of 3 events, a slalom race were the cars have to go through various obstacles, a long jump contest and a normal race held on a race track. Kyosho America have a brief report from the recent Hank Perry 240 that attracted more than 300 entrants as well as attracting top factory talent from many of the major manufacturers. Kyosho / CRF driver Taylor Petersen dominated the event, having qualified first in the Pro Buggy class and 2nd in the Pro Truggy class. We received a report from the first ever RC Pro Series buggy race to be held in Canada, which was hosted by RCGEARs of Calgary on May 18. There were a total of 78 entries in the five class field of machines and thanks to everyone present, the races and tech ran super smooth for the entire single day event.
