Feller wint bij Zuiden Duitse Regionals Categories - Gas, On Road, National, Racing - 1 comment so far

In Stock class it was Martin Kristensen in the fast lane and Jesper Rasmussen in second place with Eli Lundgaard in third position, the compact and technical track suited Martin and he was able to continue his pace into the finals and won two out of three ahead of Jesper Rasmussen and Sebastian Sørensen.

Stotfold Nationals report by oOple Categories - Electric, Off Road, National, Racing - add a comment
Our friends over at oOple have a report from the final round of the 2008 BRCA 10th off road National Series which drew to a close at the all astro Stotfold track. The 2WD championship was already decided in favour of Ellis Stafford’s X-Factory X6, the 4WD title however had come down to the last meeting with only three possible winners, Lee Martin, Ellis Stafford and Chris Doughty. In 2wd Ellis Stafford qualified second behind Neil Cragg but it was Ellis that took the win to go with his 2WD championship title. Lee Martin in the 4WD class had won the series by round three of qualifying, with neither of his title challengers able to TQ the meeting for the extra point it meant they couldn’t catch him. Lining up second behind Darren Bloomfield, Lee took the first two legs of the A final to seal another National win.

Tim Wood wins UK 1/8th Nats Rd7 Categories - Gas, On Road, National, Racing - add a comment
Last weekend saw round 7 of the BRCA 1/8th scale championships held at the Halifax track and it proved to be very evenly matched racing with no one driver having a clear speed advantage. Qualifying, which saw the first 2 rounds run on a damp track, saw Mugen racer Andy North claim TQ ahead of Serpent trio Tim Wood, Richard Hicklin and Mark Green. The final was again a very close race with no more than 1/2 a lap separating the top 4 places. From the start, Andy North was slow away and struggled with cold tires in the early stages but was soon on the pace, while Chris Heath was again on a charge from 5th on the grid. After a slow start, Chris started to make back time and with him being able to cut out a fuel stop would be in contention at the finish but unfortunately for him he had a gearbox fail with 4 minutes to go while leading the race. This gave the win to Tim Wood just ahead of Mark Green in 2nd with Andy North taking 3rd.
Thanks to Andy North for the report and pictures.
