Xray Racing Series Poland Rd4 – Report

The fourth round of Xray Racing Series Poland took place last weekend on a very challenging but fun to drive track in Lodz. The 2WD Buggy qualifiers were a pretty close affair between Xray team mates Kaja Novotny and Martin Wollanka. The outcome was decided by traffic and times and ultimately it was Kaja who took the top qualifier honours. 4WD Buggy was a 3-horse race for the overall TQ between Wollanka, Zambrzycki and Novotny. The rounds were super close with again traffic playing a role and in the end Martin was able to take the pole position for the finals from Bartek Zambrzycki (Yokomo) and Kaja.

Samix SCX10 II rear 3-link set

Samix have introduced a new rear 3-link set for the Axial SCX10 II trail truck. The set makes use of the standard ball cups and includes a new heavy duty turnbuckle, shock and axle side mounting brackets as well as mounting hardware. The set was designed to be used together with Samix’s optional rear lockouts and rear shock plate.

Neumann wins big at Guan Kou Sunpadow GP

Finals day at the 2017 Guan Kou Sunpadow Offroad GP in Xiamen China and the threat of rain, forecast for Sunday, never materialised and in fact saw the warmest but also most humid conditions of the event. The schedule was to see triple A-mains for EP buggy as well  aslower finals for both classes, with the 1-hour Championship A-main ending the day’s on track action.

Winterstein rolling on Pro-Line rubber for 2017

Hoeco have announced the signing of young and talented Sebastian Winterstein to the Pro-Line Germany team for 2017. The Mugen driver will use Pro-Line tyres in his campaign that will include the national 1/8th buggy championships, international friendship races, the European Championships and select other events. Sebastian says:

I’m very happy to get the possibility to race for Pro-Line in 2017! It’s a pleasure for me to get a part of the team. In 2017 we start at German national race’s, International Friendship race’s, European Championship A&B and several other race’s! A big thank goes to Michael Selner and Hupo Hönigl from Hoeco and to Pro-Line Racing for the support! Cheers to a successful and interesting year with Proline Racing!

Steenmans & Patel win at SA National Champs opener

The opening round of the South African National Championship was held at the Avion Raceway track in Johannesburg this past weekend. In the Nitro Truggy class Dean Steenmans took the TQ and he also brought home a popular win some five laps ahead of the second place finisher while in E-Buggy Akshay Patel would take the winning honours.

Maxima 2147 Dirt exhaust system

Coming soon from Maxima is the 2147 Dirt exhaust system. The EFRA-homologated pipe features a hard-coated surface for wear and easier cleaning, compared to standard polished exhausts that can become unsightly due to dirt and exhaust fumes in no time. On top of this the tuned pipe will also increase overall performance and it comes including a suitable manifold, silicone gaskets and mounting springs.

David Ronnefalk wins Thunder Alley club race

Thunder Alley Raceway of Beaumont, California held an open and pretty high class club race this past weekend. In the 20 minute A-main 1/8th Nitro Buggy A-main HB Racing’s David Ronnefalk would come out on top despite a first lap mess and an additional pit stop with Mugen’s Adam Drake ending the day on the 2 spot from JQRacing’s Joseph Quagraine in third.

Muchmore Impact 1800mAh LiFe TX & RX battery pack

Muchmore have introduced the Impact 1800mAh 6.6V LiFe battery pack for transmitter and receiver applications. The flat-type pack measures 85x27x18mm and fits most 1/8th and 1/10th nitro vehicles that utilise flat-type receiver batteries and it is also usable with transmitters that accept 6V input. The battery is made from robust 1800mAh cells, it comes pre-wired with a JR-style universal plug and a XH balance connector and is it usable with standard voltage compatible receivers and servos.
