Absima CR4T Ultimate 2.4GHz radio system

Available now from Absima is the CR4T Ultimate 2.4GHz radio system. The new and improved transmitter features a faster transmitting speed of 8ms and it comes with a splashwater-proof and LiPo-compatible mini-size receiver. Using an optional receiver allows access to the Smart Vehicle Control system, a stabilising system to make for easier vehicle control. For competition use the CR4T Ultimate also sports a special Race Mode that deactivates all telemetry functions which is mandatory in many race series. Taken over from the standard CR4T are the large touch display as well as the dropdown steering wheel.

Schelle Asterisk aluminium wing buttons

Coming soon from Schelle Racing Innovations are the Asterisk aluminium wing buttons. Machined from billet aluminium, anodised, and laser etched, these wing buttons have a unique look and design as the raised edges help reduce drag while the distinct laser etching and hex outer profile will make for visual impact. The buttons fit flat head or button head metric M3 screws on many 1/10th and 1/8th scale cars and they are available in blue or black colour.

Kilic brothers join Nemo Racing

Kilic brothers join Nemo Racing

After being with Horizon Hobby and TLR for four year Germany’s Burak and Berkan Kilic have made the switch to Nemo Racing for the 2016 season and beyound. The successful siblings will use the use the Agama A215 nitro buggy, the forthcoming A215E E-buggy as well as the A8T truggy along Bullitt engines and Beta tyres. The former German 1/8th Nitro Truggy Junior Champions along father and mentor Abdullah “Apo” Kilic have the following to say about the deal:

After four years of being with Horizon Hobby we are switching over to Nemo Racing UK. It’s been a fantastic four years for us and we would like to thank Horizon Hobby and especially Mr. and Mrs. Schamuhn for the fantastic support. We now look forward to racing for Nemo Racing and we would like to thank Jon Hazlewood for the trust in us. We will race both nationally and internationally and we are trying to bring the Agama brand further ahead.

O.S. Engine have announced the signing of Mike Truhe to their team for the 2016 season. The multi-time ROAR national champion will use the Japanese engines in his Mugen vehicles and he has the following to say about the deal:

Mibosport Cup 2015/16 Rd3 – Report

The third round of the 2015/16 Mibosport Cup was held this past weekend at the Hotel-Sport in Hrotovice. The event attracted a total of 246 entries with 114 drivers signing in for the on-road classes while the off-road classes had 132 entries in total. The qualifying of the Touring Car Modified class was won by Kuba Simurda and right from the start of the first A-main, Kuba made his intentions clear as he was able to open a considerable gap on his rivals and he eventually came out successful in A1. Behind him, Helmut Frauenschum finished in second place as he managed to overtake Jiri Vysin who ended A1 in third place. The second A-main then again saw a dominating Kuba who controlled the gap to his nearest rivals Mario Sowka, Jiri Vysin and Zdenko Kunak and this would then also be the result of the second final. The third and final A-main was very similar to the second one as Kuba was in the lead again ahead of Mario, Jiri and Zdenko. The order did not change till the end of the final and so Kuba Simurda took the overall victory with Mario Sowka and Jiri Vysin completing the podium.

Neumann remains unbeaten DHI Cup master

Having looked at best like a podium finish would be an achievement, Joern Neumann pulled off a surprise result to retain his unbeaten reign as the only 4WD Buggy winner at the Danish event. There was no one more surprised by the result than Neumann himself, the win marking his first international race win with Team Serpent. With World Champion Coelho winning A1 and staying out of trouble giving Neumann the A2 win, it was all to play for with three drivers in contention for the win, Martin Bayer the third of them. In the end however it was 2WD victor Michal Orlowski who would win A3 ahead of Neumann with Bayer third. The result would secure Orlowski second overall while Top Qualifier Coelho finished his DHI Cup debut on the final step of the podium.

Valtier & Crolla win at French CML Masters

Valtier & Crolla win at French CML Masters

The French CML Masters was held this past weekend near Paris. In the 2WD class Ludovic Valtier would come out successful from Lorenzo Crolla in second and Stephane Deroch in third. In the 4WD class Lorenzo Crolla grabbed the TQ after winning two of the three qualifiers and he would be able to conserve his qualifying performance in the finals to take the overall win from Jean-Pierrick Sartel and Stephane Deroch in second and third respectively.

Elliott Boots shines in Italy

Elliott Boots shines in Italy

The annual Italian Job Race was held at the IBR Padova indoor facility in Italy over the weekend. As usual the race attracted Europe’s best 1/8th off-road drivers to compete in the premier Nitro Buggy and the supporting 1/8th E-buggy classes. The Pro Nitro class qualifying was a tight affair between Marco Baruffolo (TLR/Picco), Elliott Boots (Kyosho/Reds Racing), Alex Zenchettin (TLR/Reds Racing) and Darren Bloomfield (Agama/Bullitt). In the end Marco would make a clean sweep though with three round TQs to secure the overall TQ from Elliott, Alex and Darren. The E-Buggy class had Agama’s Darren Bloomfield taking the TQ from fellow countryman Elliott Boots (Kyosho) with both ending tie on points. Marco Baruffolo (TLR) rounded out the top 3 result after the qualifiers.
