2013 LRP TCM – Announcement

2013 LRP TCM - Announcement

LRP have announced that for the 16th running of their TCM event they have moved venue from the regular Eppelheim to Althengstett, near Stuttgart. Because of this last minute change, the date has also changed and the event will now take place from the 26th to the 28th of April. Entries will open from February 1st at 6pm CET.

Mike Swauger signs for Picco

Mike Swauger signs for Picco

Picco have announced the signing of Multiple ROAR National Champion Mike Swauger to their factory team. The Hawaii based Xray driver will run the Torque line of engines in his 1/8th and 1/10th scale vehicles. He had this to say:

I am very positive about this adventurous partnership and debuting the new 2013 EM X-TYPE long stroke engines at the Winter Nats. On Point OP12C.1 conversion kit

On Point Racing is proud to release their second generation 12th scale conversion, the OP12C.1. Already it has won the Super Stock class at the US Indoor Champs last month driven by designer/owner Paul Ciccarello. The changes made in chassis flex and shock position have made the car generate higher corner speeds without giving up driveability. The kit is available now.

British Indoor Winter Series Round 3

The third round of the British Indoor Winter series saw Xray UK team driver James Hart setting the fastest time in all three rounds of the Open class qualifying. In second place on the grid for the finals was HB team driver Stefan Chodzynski, third and fourth were Xray drivers Chris Neff and Alex Brocklebank, rounding out the top five was Associated team driver Ben Putt. The 13.5 class saw some very close qualifying with another Xray team driver, Zak Finlay, on pole position and like the Open class it was HB driver Dean Gibbs in second place. Schumacher driver Darren Lee came third, fourth on the grid was HB driver James Baker and rounding out the top 5 was TOP driver Chris Holmes. In the 17.5 Class it was Lee Stokes who dominated qualifying setting the fastest time in round one and three putting him in pole position for the finals. Second on the grid was Martyn Peachey having posted consistent runs, and rounding out the top in qualifying it was Richard Boult.

Indonesian Open Year End race 2012 – Report

The Indonesian EP Year End race was held at the Sunter International Speedway, with 70 driver competing in the 1/10 Super Stock, FWD and 1/12 pan car class. The weather was hot on Saturday, that saw four rounds of qualifying, and cloudy with rain on Sunday. In the Super Stock class, Bowie Ginting (Xray) set the quickest time to secured the TQ spot followed by Dimas Ardian (Tamiya) in second place. Indonesian RC legend, Denny Pangestu, took the third spot with his Team Associated car. The top 3 where chased by Suwardi Suliandy and Ronny Suwarto who placed their Xray and TOP cars 4th and 5th respectively. Ronny Suwarto took the TQ spot in the 1/12 pan car class while Anton Santoso secured TQ in the FD class.

Martini & Wilck win at Charity Race Italy

The Charity Race was held for the second time at the RC Landia facilities in Scandiano, northern Italy. The race organizers had decided to repeat the success from last year, where around 100 entries, and a big Charity lottery collected a lot of money to a local children’s hospital. Drivers from all over Europe joined the race, as the competition remained very strong, similar to that of an ETS event. Xray and Hudy were the major sponsors of the event as in the cooperation with the Italian distributor Sprint RC both donated the most of the prizes.

New from Team Orion comes the Neon 8 brushless system containing the waterproof Vortex R8 WP 130A controller and the Neon 8 2100kv waterproof motor. T.O.P. Photon EX V2 caster blocks

New for the Photon EX, T.O.P. have released these version 2 caster blocks. The new caster blocks come with both 4-deg and 6-deg options and are designed in a way for easy maintenance. The universal could be removed without having to dissemble the steering block from the caster block which is done without sacrificing steering angles. The castor blocks are also double CVD ready.
