Associated RC10B44.2 Factory Team kit

The RC10B44 is a proven winning platform with two IFMAR World Championships and four ROAR National titles under its belt. The B44.2 Factory Team kit takes the next step in drawing out every opportunity to maximize the 4WD buggy’s potential. The big news on the B44.2 is the new Factory Team 12mm ‘Big Bore’ hard-anodized shocks. The shocks feature threaded collars, machined aluminium shock caps with bleed screws, and are completed with TiN “Gold” 3mm shock shafts. The end result is a 12mm shock that delivers a plush and compliant ride that keeps the B44.2’s tires planted on the ground.

Armand Lantheaume joins Team Schumacher

Schumacher Racing would like to welcome Frenchman Armand Lantheaume to the team. Armand is the current French national champion in both 2WD and 4WD 1/10th off-road classes. He has also achieved B finals in both classes at each of the last 2 EFRA European Championships. Armand will be driving the Cougar SV2 on grass and astro tracks, the Cougar SVR on dirt tracks, and the CAT SX3 in 4WD and is looking forward to an even more competitive 2013 season with his new cars.

Speed Passion Revention Pro ESC

Speed Passion is proud to introduce the Revention Pro brushless speed controller. The controller features an all new, in-house designed, 140A unit for increased power delivery and smoothness while the unique intercooler design allows the ESC to run 20 percent cooler in temperature compared to previous models. The brand new ground up design features a full aluminium body case which provides maximum surface area to dissipate heat from the ESC. Included comes a programming card to adjust all of the important parameters while the speedo itself comes programmed with six individual modes for modified, stock, crawler and drift applications. Available soon will be optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules to program the controller via smart phone.

Daniel & Jörn win German electric off-road nats

Last weekend the first ever 1/8th scale electric buggy and truggy national championships were held at the MRC Senden club in Southern Germany. Being an open championship the race attracted drivers from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein. The race weekend started with perfect weather conditions and a track surfaces that started to show signs of blue groove but come Saturday the weather turned to the worst as heavy rain converted the track into a mud puddle. As the weather forecast promised sun and warmer temperatures for Sunday the race director cancelled all activities – read: the four qualifying rounds – on Saturday in favour of two quick qualifiers on Sunday morning.

Jerome Sartel wins French Champs final round

Jerome Sartel has won the final round of the French 1/8 off-road championship held in Savigny. The Agama driver won the final two laps ahead of Tony Robin (Kyosho) and some three laps ahead of third placed S-Workz driver Edouard Hugon. 2012 champion Jerome Aigion finished in 8th position.

Saggers & York win HNMC Summer Rd 8

The last round of the HNMC Summer series finished as it started with a dry start due to turn with about lunch time. 58 Buggies and 10 Truggies braved the conditions as again the Proline layout was used. Qualifying saw a battle between Karl Jackson and Callum Niblet with Karl taking TQ in the buggy class. Jon Hazelwood dominated Truggy qualifying just missing out a 9 lapper in round one. Come the finals Tom Saggers went on to win the Buggy class ahead of Olier Curry and John Niall. Rob York grabbed the win in the Truggy class with Harry Philips in second and Simon Miller in third position.

Maifield completes ‘Clash’ title defence hat trick

Ryan Maifield pulled off a hat trick of wins at the 6th Annual JConcepts Clash with the factory Team Associated driver successfully defending all three of his 2011 titles at this year’s event which took place in Mississippi.  Having wrapped up 2WD Buggy & Short Course earlier in the day at the Flowood Indoor R/C Park, Maifield completed the perfect event when he dominated the 30-minute 1:8 Nitro Buggy finals as his main rivals hit problems.  In the end Maifield took the win by four laps from the Losi of Jason Smith with Top Qualifier Dustin Evans recovering from two engine flame-outs to complete the podium.

Maifield cruises to victory in opening A-Mains

Team Associated’s Ryan Maifield made light work of the opening A-Main of the JConcepts Clash in both 2WD Buggy and 2WD Short Course with the Top Qualifier cruising to two very comfortable victories moving a step closer to retaining his titles in both classes. In 2WD Buggy the expected battle between Maifield and Team Losi Racing’s Dustin Evans never materialized after the Colorado driver struggled with the handling of his TLR22 which resulted in a mistake on the opening lap. In the end it was Evans team-mate JR Mitch who took second in both finals.
