Tekno RC have announced the release of three new CNC Delrin piston sets to fine-tune the performance of their 1/10th scale vehicles. The pistons improve the consistency and handling of the EB410.2 and ET410 vehicles as the pistons are machined from self-lubricating Delrin plastic, flat on both sides and drilled with eight 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3 millimetre holes. T-Works have announced the release of new optional parts for the Tekno RC EB410.2 1/10th scale 4WD buggy. First up is a 64 grade titanium shock standoff set that replaces the standard steel parts for lighter yet sturdy items that also add some visual impact due to their natural silver colour finish. The standoffs come in sets of four and due to their lower weight, they will help to lower the buggy’s overall centre of gravity which helps especially in high-bite track conditions. Tekno RC have introduced the .2 variant of their popular EB410 1/10th scale 4WD buggy kit. The kit features many of the updated components from the ET410 platform but also several all-new elements have been included to further improve handling and durability. Now part of the package is a front end sway bar system along with new 15-degree low roll centre spindle carriers. The suspension has been upgraded with new pistons and revised shock towers. Coming from Exotek and made for the Tekno RC EB410 buggy are two new wheel hex adapter sets. The precision-machined 7075 alloy rear clamping hex set for the Tekno EB410 and ET410 are available as 6.5mm wide +2mm offset and 7.5mm +3mm offset sets, offering 2mm and 3mm of additional track width per side. The 6.5mm hexes can be used on the front or rear axles with the 7.5mm set being a rear item only. The hexes come polished and anodised in Exotek’s rich navy colour and they include M2 hardware. Coming from Avid and made for the Tekno EB410 and ET410 kits are the new FastTune titanium shock stand offs. They are replacements for the new #TKR6527B standoff that use the keyed shock bushings #TKR6780. They include Avid’s FastTune feature which allows to use a common 1.5mm Allen wrench to prevent the standoff from spinning while using a 5.5mm socket wrench on the other side. The design of the suspension shafts improves overall reliability due to the captured design while the lightweight and corrosion resistant titanium material reduces unsprung masses. Coming from Avid are several new carbon fibre wing optionals such as a wing mount brace for the B6.1 buggy and wing buttons. Starting with the wing mount braces for Team Associated’s B6.1 buggy, this Do It Yourself product is a fun mod to create a carbon sandwich on the kit B6.1 wing mounts to keep them from permanently bending after a hard crash.
