Balestri holds provisional TQ at 1:8 Onroad Euros

Dario Balestri holds the provisional TQ at the EFRA 1:8 Onroad European Championship, the Infinity driver setting the fastest time in the second of the two heats that made up Day 1 of the qualifying at the Vila Real track in Portugal. In the opening qualifier it was Capricorn’s Toni Gruber who set the TQ pace, the newly crown 1:10 Nitro European Champion fastest from Balestri and Jilles Groskamp. Cuypers wins Dutch Nationals Round 3

Round 3 of the 1:8 Onroad Dutch National Championship took place over the weekend with Mugen’s Steven Cuypers taking the win. Racing at the famed Apeldoorn track, the race attracted a top quality international field however rain on Saturday meant no action. In Sunday morning’s qualifying the Infinity of Jilles Groskamp securing the overall TQ. The Dutch ace set his fastest time in the third of the three qualifiers with Belgian Cuypers second fastest with his Q2 time. Gruber wins second European 1:10 Nitro title

Toni Gruber is the new EFRA 1:10 Nitro Onroad European Champion, the Capricorn driver retaking the title he previously held in 2017 with the win at Naxos World in Italy today. The only driver to better Dario Balestri in qualifying, taking the first of the five rounds after which the Italian topped every round, the German would go on to take Super Pole to lock in his direct No.2 starting position in the final behind the Top Qualifier. Balestri Top Qualifier at 1:10 European Championship

Infinity’s Dario Balestri is the Top Qualifier at the 1:10 Nitro Onroad European Championships in Sciliy, Italy. The 17th running of the EFRA championships, Thursday presented drivers with some weather issues that stopped the action. Friday they managed to get all 5 rounds of qualifying completed and it was Balestri who reigned at the Naxos World track. Greiner wins ENS Germany

Capricorn’s Dominic Greiner has won the opening round of the Euro Nitro Series in Germany. The reigning European 1:8 Onroad Champion took victory at the Ettlingen track from Infinity’s Jilles Groskamp who finished less than 6-seconds back at the end of the 45-minute encounter. Having secured the overall TQ on Saturday, Toni Gruber lead out the 12-car field but after just 18-laps hit issues that would drop him to last place. Gruber TQ’s ENS season opener

…make up this year’s series, Gruber secured the overall TQ in Ettlingen when he topped the final two qualifiers with his Ielasi Tuned powered C804. Behind the German, former World Champion Simon Kurzbuch secured P2 for Mugen having TQ’d the opening qualifier. Groskamp wins Dutch 1:8 Onroad Nationals Opener

The NOMAC Dutch National Championship for Onroad Nitro took place over the weekend at the RACO2000 circuit in Utreacht with Jilles Groskamp taking the 1:8 win. The Team Infinity driver secured the TQ with fastest time in the third of the three 4-minute qualifying rounds with Robbin Hertong, Jesse Keller and Joey Sober lining up behind him on the starting grid for the 30-minute final.
