Mattia Menabue takes F1 class win at Italian Nats Rd4

The Barcooff track in Barco, Emilia-Romagna, Italy held round four of the Italian 1/8th Off-road National Championship over the weekend. In the 45-minute F1 class A-main it was Mattia Menabue who came out successful by taking the win with a 2-lap margin on Adriano Fabianelli in second and Alessio Marini in third. Mirko Belli and Matteo Poletti would round out the top 5 result.

Kaja Novotny TQs & wins Czech Open Rd8

Round eight of the Czech Open series was held on the bumpy and low grip Mlada Boleslav track. Max Gotzl (Xray) would come out fastest in the opening qualifier but it was Kaja Novotny (Xray) who grabbed the overall TQ after scoring wins in the remaining three rounds and also scoring the fastest time over five minutes. In the semifinals Kaja continued to dominate, taking the pole position for the A-main final in which he would again excel by taking the win from Serpent’s Jiri Mara with Stepan Silhavy (Xray) completing the top 3 podium result. In fifth Max Gotzl grabbed the Junior class win while Petr Javorovsky Sr. in 11th took the Senior class victory.

Carlos Duraes wins Portuguese Buggy Nats Rd3

Round three of the Portuguese Buggy National Championship was held this past weekend and in the 45-minute main final it was Serpent’s Carlos Duraes who took the win 1 lap ahead of former European Champion, Miguel Matias. Ricardo Monteiro (TLR) completed the top 3 another three laps down. The next and final round will now decide the overall championship.

Coming this Fall are two new kits based off of Tamiya’s popular TT-02 entry level 1/10th scale 4WD chassis. First up is the iconic Honda Civic SiR EG6 on the drift-specific TT-02D chassis. The kit includes full ball bearings, oil-filled CVA shock absorbers, an aluminium motor heat sink and a Sports Tuned brushed motor and it is rounded out by a Civic SiR replica bodyshell and mesh-type wheels with Super Drifttech tyres.

ARC R11W 200mm electric touring car kit

ARC have introduced the new R11W 1/10th 200mm electric touring car kit. The vehicle is based off of the 190mm R11 and features a black 7075-T6 aluminium main chassis, carbon fibre upper deck and front and rear gear differentials to provide exceptional handling characteristics with foam tyres. The 200mm kit shares most parts with the 190mm variant with the greater track width being achieved by using wide lower A-arm mounts. Included in the package are also front and rear low-profile shock towers and big bore shock absorbers, suitable for sports car bodyshells such as the Blitz TS02E and others.

Machined from high-quality material and coming with a special surface treatment for wear the 1-piece parts offer high durability and their design allows for easy shock angle adjustments by holding the standoffs with a suitable wrench and undoing the rear fastening nuts. Included in the set are four shock standoffs and eight flanged nuts.

Claeys & Bultynck win Belgian Electric On-road titles

The final round of the Belgian Electric On-road National Championship was held at the MRCZ track in Zwevegem. Despite the somewhat bad weather forecast the final qualifiers and all finals would be held in dry conditions. In the 10.5T Touring Stock class, run with Muchmore Fleta speedos and Muchmore 10.5T motors it was young Florian Joos (Tamiya) who took a maiden TQ and victory this season from second placed Stefaan Rommens (HB Racing). Rico Claeys (ARC) completed the podium result in third.

Chicha Rioja takes SNS Stock Touring title

The final round of the Spanish National Series was held at the Club 10 club in Barakaldo. The tight and technical track with high grip made for excellent racing conditions and the event saw local driver Chicha Rioja taking the pole position for the Stock Touring A-mains from Tony Mur and Hugo Misa. The opening A-main was a bit of a drama for the TQ holder as he got hit from behind which resulted in a body tuck and an 8th place finish. Chicha would come back in form in A2 and A3 though, taking dominant wins to grab the day’s win from Tony Mur and Yeray Martinez. With the victory at the final round Chicha also secured himself the overall title from Rafael Ortiz and Tony Mur.
