Bornhorst & Lutz win at AMS 7.0

This weekend the 7th Annual Alabama Manufacturers Cup, also known as AMS 7.0 was held with a new record amount of entries at 620. Last up for the night was the Pro Buggy Main. The start to this one was pretty crazy. A battle ensued between the top 5 with the lead changing almost every lap. After a few people had issues, Joe Bornhorst found himself in the lead with a lap lead and only 7 minutes to go. Ultimately Joe kept it clean and brought home the win from Josh Wheeler and JR Mitch.

Quebec RC Series Rd2 – Report

This weekend was the second round of the Quebec RC Series held in Charlevoix, north of Quebec City and with more than 80 entries the series is getting more popular every round. The really technical track was designed and build by Levi Jackson from Sik Track Design. In Nitro Buggy, the battle was tight for the overall top qualifier with a different TQ every round. At the end Carl Boulianne took the TQ in front of AF Blanchette and Jonathan Mongeau. In the main Carl Boulianne (TLR) took the early lead while Team Associated’s Eric Deschenes was battling mid-pack. With 10 minutes to go Eric and Carl started to battle for the win. After a great show by both drivers and at the end, Eric Deschenes took the win in front of Carl Boulianne and William St-Laurent (Mugen).

Smyk & Pyrka take Polish Open Summer Indoor titles

The Polish Open Summer Indoor Championship was recently held in Warsaw as part of an Expo. The event was run on a fast and technical track laid out with ETS carpet, making for nice racing conditions. In the Touring Modified class, Arkadiusz Smyk would take the TQ after the qualifiers and he would continue to dominate the field in the A-mains that he won in front of Bartosz Pochopien and Michal Wojcik in second and third respectively. Tomasz Niemczewski and Wojciech Rzepecki completed the top 5 result.

Yeol & Choi successful at I-Cheon Championship

The I-Cheon Championship was held at the newly opened Mate RC Raceway near Seoul. In the 1/10th 200mm Touring class, Kim Gi Yeol (Serpent) would take the TQ and win from Park Ki Jeong (Serpent) and Mugen driver Kim Yeoncheol. In the 1/8th GT class, Naksung Choi (Serpent) would bring home the win from Yoo Jegook (Hong Nor) and Park Chanyong (Mugen).

Groskamp wins ETS Luxembourg

Jilles Groskamp has won the penultimate round of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series in Luxembourg, the event marking the 50th running of a round of the world famous championship. An instrumental supporter of the championship in its founding years and becoming its inaugural champion, the win is only the 2012 World Champions’ 5th and his first since winning a second ETS title in 2009. Behind the Infinity driver, Marc Rheinard kept his title hopes alive by finishing second ahead of Bruno Coelho who completed the podium at Mini Circuit “Ville de Luxembourg”. Unfortunately while winning A3 would give reigning champion Ronald Volker 4th overall, it was one position below what the Top Qualifier needed to keep alive his hopes of retaining his crown.

Team Corally Eclips 2100 dual output AC/DC charger

Coming from Team Corally is the Eclips 2100 dual output AC/DC multi-chemistry charger. With its 100W of charge power the device offers up to 10A charge current at channel 1 and up to 6A at channel two while an intelligent charge power distribution splits the available charge power between the two. Multi-chemistry-ready the charger can handle up to 6S LiXX packs, including LiHV batteries, up to 15 cell NiXX and also 2 to 20V lead-acid batteries. Xray RX8 graphite suspension arms

Xray have introduced new graphite suspension arms for the RX8 1/8th on-road car. Moulded in a special graphite composite material the arms are significantly harder than the standard parts, making them ideal for high to very high grip tracks and also high ambient temperatures. Due to being less flexible the suspension parts make for a more precise handling and improved traction. Available are front and rear upper and lower arms with all parts being symmetrical, allowing to use them on both sides of the car.

Active Hobby EPT bulkhead setup block

Japanese company Active Hobby Products have introduced their new EPT bulkhead setup block tool. Taking the idea of a bulkhead alignment tool a step further, the block also takes spool and diff axle alignment into consideration. First up the tool helps to align both the left and right hand bulkhead halves with an axle shaft dummy then also allowing to check the clearance and proper fit of the eccentric bearing and belt tensioner inserts while also allowing to check for any misalignment as result of a crash. Machined from aluminium and available in a range of colours, the tool is usable for 20mm bulkhead width cars such as the ARC R11 and R10 as well as 22mm kits such as the TRF419 and Yokomo BD7.
