Reedy have introduced the Blackbox 1000Z+ Competition ESC, a simple-to-use, economical and powerful ESC that features timing options for Modified class racers as well as zero-timing blinky mode for Spec class racers. The second round of the Danish Nitro Offroad Nationals hosted by the Hillerod RC Racing club and as usual the weekend started off with Nitro Truggy and Electric Buggy racing on Saturday. In the Nitro Truggy class Peter Harder would grab the TQ in front of Jan D. Hansen and Steffen Culmsee. Mike Kjærgaard rounded out the top 4 after the qualifiers.

RC Excitement of Fitchburg, Massachusetts recently held their Outdoor Season Opener race on their newly refurbished track. In the 1/8th E-Truggy class Daven Hemenway would grab the TQ after having some trouble with traffic in the opening qualifier. The main event then saw Dave profiting of some clashes behind him and from that moment on he never looked back. Behind Dave, Jim Edmonds came in second while Phil Morris rounded out the top 3 result.

Last weekend the third round of the New RC Club Race series was held at the New RC track in Thailand with more than 70 sign-ups for the one day event. Witsarut Roumlarp would grab the TQ for the 45 minute A-main and he would jump into the lead right from the start but some five minutes into the race an error let him drop to 4th. Mongkolphan L. then lead the field until around mid-race when Meen V. held the top spot. With around 15 minutes to go, Witsarut Roumlarp grabbed the lead from Meen who would later run out of fuel sitting in second. This allowed Witsarut Roumlarp to cruise to the win in front of Paphon C and Witchapoom while Meen had to settle for fourth.

The warm-up for the 2016 1/8th Nitro EFRA Off-road European Championships will be held from the 13th to 15th of May at the RC Redovan track in Alicante in the south-east of Spain. Registration for the event is open until the 9th of May and it can be found here together with additional information about the race that is open for all drivers with respective national licences.
HRC Distribution have introduced the new HRC Racing 5800mAh and 4500mAh hardcase LiPo battery packs. The higher capacity pack is made using 50C cells while the 4500mAh variant is made of 40C cells with both batteries utilising protective hardcases and they come pre-wired with T-type power connectors and XH balancer ports for save and convenient use.
ARC have announced the signing of Luxembourg’s Dirk Rischard to their team. The former Serpent driver will use the company’s R8.0 2016 nitro on-road kit during this year’s campaign that will include appearances at events such as the Luxembourg and German National Championships, the ENS and other major races. Dirk has to say the following about the deal:
I started my racing career with Serpent and want to thank Serpent Motorsport and especially Ronald, Jirka and Michael to have supported me during the last years. But now it is time for a new challenge and I’m happy to announce to team up with ARC factory team. The 8th annual Pro-Line Gas Champs were held this past weekend at the Pro-Line test track in Banning, California. As usual the event attracted some of the country’s fastest drivers including prominent guests from abroad, such as Sweden’s David Ronnefalk. The 2-day event saw three rounds of heads up qualifying on Saturday and the mains on Sunday and in the premier Nitro Buggy class it was Tekno’s Ryan Lutz who took the TQ and winning honours, leaving HB’s David Ronnefalk and Tekno RC’s Joe Bornhorst behind in second and third respectively.
