Jason Snyder launches RawSpeed brand

Jason Snyder, known for his popular YouTube channel, has introduced his own U.S. based RC accessory company named RawSpeed. Focussing on racers, the product range will include items such as tyres, wheels, inserts and body shells for both 1/10th and 1/8th scale cars. The first items released include the Rocket 1/10th buggy rear tyre for indoor clay tracks as well as the Enigma 1/10th buggy front tyre, again dedicated for indoor clay tracks and featuring a directional design for more or less aggressive steering response. Also part of the initial release are the Black Thunder closed cell inserts, the Tru-Spin 1/10th buggy wheels as well as 3D-printed ride height gauges. Other items include merchandising such as 3D embroidered hats and T-shirts.

Kyosho release official RZ6 conversion images

Following first brief information about the shaft-driven RZ6 2WD mid motor buggy conversion Kyosho now released a set of images of the production kit. The conversion replicates the car used by Jared Tebo at the 2015 IFMAR World Championship held in Japan and it features a very efficient shaft drive, which is ideally suited to stock class racing and favours medium to high bite tracks. The kit will include all needed parts to convert an existing RB6 2WD buggy, such as a new aluminium main chassis, the drivetrain and motor mount parts as well as accessories such as a rear anti-roll bar and a suitable bodyshell. The conversion kit is set for a release at the end of April.

GForce G2SD LiPo storage discharger

GForce have introduced their all-new G2SD storage discharger. The compact unit makes for convenient and safe discharging of 1S or 2S LiPo battery packs down to a voltage of 3.85V per cell which is considered the ideal voltage to store LiPo packs. An automatic cut-off prevents the pack from becoming deep discharged and the battery is easily connected using the JST-XH connector that is part of most balance charging harnesses. Two LED lights indicate the discharging status with the maximum discharge rate being 1.0A. The unit measures 60x40x25mm, it weighs in at 34g and it becomes available in May.

Leo Arnold teams up with Hot Race Tyres

Hot Race Tyres have announced the signing of France National Champion, Leo Arnold to their team. The young French talent will use the company’s tyres in his upcoming campaign that will include attendances at the National Championships as well as all big races without hand out tyre rules.

Xray T4 black aluminium spring retainers

Coming from Xray and made for the T4 line of touring cars are black aluminium spring retainers. The parts are machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium, they sport machined holes for a light weight and the black anodising protects the surface while matching the colour tone of Xray’s optional black shock absorbers at the same time. The retainers are available in sets of four.

Xray X-Race grand final – Announcement

The grand final of Xray’s X-Race series will be held on the weekend of the 8th of May at the iconic Hudy Racing Arena in Trencin, Slovakia. The event will see the running of a variety of classes including Touring Modified, Touring Stock 17.5T, Formula, 1/10th Pan Car as well as 1/8th and 1/10th Nitro on-road with full details as well as sign-up being available here.

All equal as ETS resumes at new Austrian venue

With the opening two races producing different winners and those drivers now sharing the lead at the top of the Volante Modified class standings, the Yokomo Euro Touring Series resumes this weekend after a six week break. Round 3 will present somewhat of a neutral ground for the resumption of the championship battle as the ETS makes its first visit to Wels, Austria. Taking over the date previously filled by the Euro Offroad Series at the Modellbau Wels hobby show, this year over 20,000 vistors will be treated to seeing the World’s best touring car drivers battle it out for glory. The final indoor race of the ETS’ ninth season, Tamiya’s Marc Rheinard and Xray’s Bruno Coelho will be looking to wrap up the first half of the season with a points advantage over their rival.

Alvez & Salvagno win at Brazilian On-road opener

The opening round of the Brazilian On-road Championships was held at the Mini Autodromo do Tamboril in Recife. In the 1/10th 200mm Race class Shepherd racer Rafael Alvez would take the win from Leandro Campos (Mugen) and Flavio Elias (Capricorn) while in the Sport class Marcio Salvagno (Shepherd) came out fastest in the final from the Capricorn duo of Rafael Vieira and Otavio Neto in second and third respectively.
