Sanwa Exzes ZZ stick radio system

Sanwa have introduced their new Exzes ZZ 2.4GHz stick radio system. Offering the same transmitting technology and high response rate as the M12S, the radio also sports a number of new features compared to the previous Exzes Z such as telemetry mixing, vibration, a slow throttle function, LiFe battery compatibility, an earphone jack, enhanced race mode, enhanced timer functions and more. Included with the transmitter comes the RX-472 receiver and Sanwa has yet to announce a definite release date.

Samix SCX10 side receiver box mount

Coming from Samix and made for the Axial SCX10 crawler is a side receiver box mount. The part is machined from high-quality aluminium and it relocates the somewhat bulky receiver box to the side of the chassis for improved climbing performance. The mount is usable with the standard Axial receiver box and available in the four colours of green, silver, red and black.

VBC introduce new Firebolt & Wildfire option parts

VBC Racing have introduced new option parts for the Firebolt DM and RM buggy as well as the WildfireD08 touring car. Starting with the buggy part, new is a gear differential set with aluminium outer case. The set includes all needed parts including heat treated outdrives, metal cross pins and internal gears as well as shims and seals. The metal diff promises higher durability and it  fits the Firebolt DM, DM2 and RM buggies.

Mike Gee doubles at ROAR Carpet On-road Nationals

Last weekend’s 2016 ROAR Carpet On-road Nationals at ProlevelRC in St. Louis, Missouri not only saw the running of a Touring Modified class but also the usual array of Stock racing categories. Starting with Touring Stock 13.5T, the class had Mike Gee coming out fastest after the triple A-mains from Matt Lyons and Kyle Klingforth in second and third respectively. Top qualifier Sam Isaacs had to settle for fifth behind fourth placed Eric Anderson.

Exotek Mini 8ight AVC V2 carbon fibre top deck

Coming from Exotek is the version 2 carbon fibre top plate for the Losi Mini 8ight AVC buggy. Cut from 2mm carbon fibre the part is of a heavy duty design and extra rigid, helping to prevent centre driveshaft bending. The updated V2 design is made to work with the new Mini 8ight AVC gear cover set and the set includes a bolt-on 6061 alloy gear cap and an antenna mount.

Yuichi Kanai introduces optional TKI4 body

Hot on the heels of the official presentation of Kyosho’s forthcoming top of the foodchain Inferno MP9 TKI4 buggy, Inferno series designer Yuichi Kanai presents an optional bodyshell for the vehicle. While the kit’s standard bodyshell will feature somewhat low side pods, which makes it ideal for high speed tracks with good traction, the optional body will sport higher side skirts with raised rear “wings” which will make for improved rear traction on low-grip and bumpy tracks. Appart from those two details the bodies seem to be pretty similar. We bring you more information on a release date as soon as they surface.

Xray T4 orange heavy duty driveshaft caps

Coming from Xray and made for the T4 line of touring cars are orange driveshafts caps. Moulded from a heavy duty composite material the C-shaped caps offer improved wear characteristics and a low resistance and they are usable with the ECS and the standard CVD driveshafts. The 3.5mm thick parts are available in sets of four pieces and they are made for the use with the Multi-Diff and both steel or alloy outdrives.

Creation Model sign Jilles Groskamp

Creation Model have announced the signing of former IFMAR Electric Touring Car World Champion, Jilles Groskamp to the Infinity team. Jilles was chosen for his incredible driving skills, passion and dedication to the hobby. With his experience and professional attitude he will be an important part of the team while helping to improve current and develope future projects. The former HB/HPI driver had the following to say about the deal:

I’m very happy to announce my career move to Creation Model. This new company has a great passion for R/C and I will be joining a great group of people. First I will be running the Infinity 1/8 at most big races but in the meantime we will also be working hard on future projects. I’m more then excited to start this new venture and I would like to thank Kenji Taira and all his staff for this great opportunity. See you at the track!
