RB introduce the Energy 4200mAh shorty LiPo battery pack for the use with many 1/10th applications such as 2WD and 4WD buggies, pan and formula cars. Built from high-performance 100C cells the battery is good for stock and modified classes, it comes in a protective hardcase with 4mm power connectors and including a charge/balancing harness pre-wired with a Deans-type connector.

Serpent Natrix 748 TQ 200mm nitro on-road kit

To celebrate Dominic Greiner’s Top Qualifier position at the recent IFMAR 200mm Nitro Onroad World Championships and the 2nd and 3rd place overall achieved by Yuya Sahashi and Dominic, Serpent introduce the Natrix 748 TQ kit. Based on the standard kit the 748 TQ features completely new gear differentials front and rear which are lighter, they are equipped with super-sealing cases and new shape gears to make for super smooth operation. The TQ kit also includes the new Xli 2-speed gearbox internals which are smaller and lighter, but using the same 2-speed gears as before. All other parts of the kit remain unchanged with the gear diffs and Xli gearbox being also available separately to upgrade existing 748 cars.

Ronald Völker wins Touring Car Modfied at GP3F

Last weekend the Grand Prix des 3 Frontieres was held in Longwy, France with top drivers like Ronald Völker, Alexander Hagberg, Loic Jasmin and many more attending. The field split into 49 entries in Touring Car Modified and 96 entries in the Stock class. In the Modified class it was Yokomo’s Ronald Völker who lead the proceedings followed by Alexander Hagberg (Xray) and Marc Fischer (Serpent) who rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Teamsaxo aluminium body height adjusters

Teamsaxo introduce a body height adjuster set for the use with many 1/10th scale on-road cars. Machined from aluminium the set makes use of a common design that allows the body’s position on the mounts to be altered in a range of 0.1 to 3.0mm using threaded bushings and adjusting thumbnuts. Included with the set come four threaded bushings, four thumbnuts, eight rubber O-rings and four pins with the set being available in black, light blue, blue, silver, orange, titan and purple colour.

Amezcua doubles at Mexican Off-Road Regionals

The final round of the Mexican Off-Road Regionals took place at Colima, Mexico with drivers from Colima, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Puerto Vallarta in attendance to battle it out in the classes of 1/8th Nitro Buggy and Nitro Truggy. Rafael Amezcua took the TQ in the Buggy class but suffered a flameout at the start of the main, causing him to start late. After fighting his way up the field in dominating fashion Rafael was able to take the win despite the bad start into the final and he left fellow Mugen racer Javier Cabildo behind in 2nd. Jose Lopez rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Xray sweep Slovakia Cup Rd2

The 2nd round of famous Slovakian Cup was held at the prestigious Hudy Arena in Trencin, Slovakia. In the Touring Car Modified class it was David Nemcek who got his maiden 1st place finish this year at the Slovakia Cup after coming in 2nd at the season opener. David is now leading the overall ranking with a 12 points margin. The runner-up spot at round 2 went to Igor Liptak while Oliver Havranek rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Intech have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming ERSC-10 1/10th scale 4WD short course truck. No further information are available yet but it is understood that the truck is based off of the BR-6E 1/8th 4WD buggy and it will hit stores in January 2015. We bring you more information as soon as they become available.

Chris Grainger splits with Schumacher

Chris Grainger splits with Schumacher

Chris Grainger has announced that he will be departing Schumacher Racing at the end of 2014. Chris has been at Schumacher for 6 seasons, and during that time has seen great successes, including lifting three UK National titles, and securing a World Championship A final place in 2012. Chris said:

To all my RC friends. I just wanted to let everyone know that as from December 31st I will no longer be driving for Schumacher racing. I want to just say thank you so much to everyone in the factory who have made the last 6 years the best and most enjoyable 6 years of all my years racing. Thank you all very much.

More news will follow soon regarding Chris’ plans for 2015 and beyond.
