Denney & Mitch win at JConcepts Indoor Nats

Team Associated’s Tanner Denney and Team Losi Racing’s JR Mitch claimed the big wins at the opening round of the JConcepts Indoor National Series in St.Louis.  Winning the third A-Main of 2WD Buggy, having won A2, Top Qualifier Denney claimed an important win for Associated’s all new B5 on its debut race weekend while Mitch also backed up his A2 win in 4WD Buggy to claim the overall win with his TLR22-4.  Joining them on the podium Steven Hartson & TLR’s JP Richards finished 2nd & 3rd respectively in 2WD while Denney claimed second in 4WD with Xray’s Josh Wheeler completing the overall Top 3 on the fifth running of the Winter Indoor Nationals at the SmacTrac.

RB Snatch 1/8th buggy tyre

RB have a new 1/8th buggy tyre as well as a new rubber compound available. Starting with the tyre, the newly designed Snatch tread offers square pins and a ballon-shape appearance. Made to excel on bumpy tracks the tyre is meant to be very stable around corners. The tyre comes as rubber only, rubber with insert as well as pre-glued with dual compound inserts and in medium, soft, super soft and the brand-new ultra soft compound. As for the compound, the new ultra soft rubber is specially designed for slick indoor surfaces such as found on the the Italian IBR track or for ultra-compact surfaces like Reims and Montpellier.

During the past weekend’s JConcepts Winter Indoor Nationals at SmacTrac in St Louis, Missouri, Team Associated’s Brent Thielke and JConcepts’ Jason Ruona gave us a first insight into the brand-new Team Associated B5, the follow-up model of the hugely successful B4 buggy. The new platform is based off the design ideas of the B4 but offers a lot more tuning options to make it easier for drivers to adapt the vehicle to different surfaces and track conditions. Being available as rear motor kit first, as it was raced at SmacTrac, there will soon also be a mid motor version for high-bite and European style tracks too. Xpert RC electric on/off switch

XpertRC now have this electric on/off switch available. Working with 6V and 7.4V input the device eliminates the need to use an unreliable mechanical switch as it offers simple 1-button operation, plus it incorporates an adjustable low-battery warning for LiPo and NiMH receiver battery packs. The case features three mounting lugs that match with the personal transponder mount many radio trays offer and it can additionally mounted using a 2-hole mounting pattern in the case itself.

Xray Challenge Moravia & Slovakia Cup Rd5 – Report

The 5th round of this Winter’s Xray Challenge Moravia & Slovakia Cup took place at the Hudy Racing Arena this past weekend. The race schedule saw 3 rounds of qualifying and 3 finals. In the Modified Touring class Xray’s Martin Hudy took the winning honours in front of Marek Cerny and Jirka Vysin. Adam Janovic and Mateusz Ogonowski completed the top 5.

Wesley van Helmond wins at Indoor Off-Road Cup

The 4th round of the International Indoor Off-Road Cup took place at Model Indoor Oss in the Netherlands. Wesley van Helmond walked away with the win in the 2WD class in front of Wouter Wynen and Jordy Velder. Chris van der Hagen and Bruno Heremans completed the top 5 result. The win also handed Wesley the overall championship title with one race still to go.

Revolution Design Racing Products introduce the Ultra Flywheel Puller. The tool is designed for most 1/8th clutches and helps to separate the flywheel from the crankshaft without any damage. By clamping the black anodised aluminium fork behind the flywheel and turning down the shaft the flywheel is pulled away from the crankshaft without harming the flywheel, the crankshaft or the tool itself. The tool is also equipped with a 10mm nut driver that is ideal to tighten the clutch nut after fitting the flywheel. Both the black anodised 7075-T6 aluminium fork and the high quality spring steel shaft sport the RDRP logos for a factory look and easy identification.

Available very soon is this medium-size trolley bag from Xceed. Sporting the company’s black and green colour tones, the bag measures 51x54x24cm and it features two large and two small 23cm wide inner drawers that are ideal to store and transport 1/10th touring cars, electronics, spares and many more. The drawers slide in an inner frame that also is responsible for the overall stability while the outer fabric material is both durable and easy to clean.
