TVR Ball-X Traxxas truck axles

TVR introduce their Ball-X driveshafts for the Traxxas Revo and Maxx line of monster trucks. The special design of the driveshaft and wheel axle coupler using balls over conventional pins makes for a three times larger contact area to distribute torque loads more efficiently, more reliable and without any binding. The construction also allows for angles up to 50 degree for smaller turning circles for more low-speed agility. The driveshafts comes as pairs with suitable differential outdrives.

Tresrey 210 series alloy suspension parts

Tresrey 210 series alloy suspension parts

Japanese option parts company Tresrey introduce new aluminium option parts for Team Durango’s 210 series 2WD off-road vehicles in the form of C-hubs and rear suspension mounts. Starting with the C-hubs, the parts are CNC-machined and do away with the need to use the original caster inserts as they sport a fixed 0 degree angle. This makes for more a more accurately fitting part and makes for less maintenance work. The parts fit on all 210 series buggies and trucks. Also new are aluminium RF and RR front and rear suspension mounts for the rear end of the DEX210 chassis. The standard RF part has a 0 degree kick-up setting while the RR block is of a new low roll centre design with 3 degree toe-in. Both parts combined give 2 degree of kick-up for a lowered roll centre. The suspension block replace the standard plastic parts for added rigidity and durability. All parts come red anodized in ‘Tresrey red’ and are available from late July.

Raiola Carmine is 2013 Italian Champion

Raiola Carmine is 2013 Italian Champion

Having previously written about the final round of the 2013 Italian 1/8th scale Championship which took place at the fantastic Cassino track we neglected to mention the title fight which was won by Raiola Carmine. The Xray driver was already very close to the championship title after taking the win in Gubbio and being 4th in Bologna. On Saturday, only two rounds of qualifying could be run due to the rain. Carmine finished 6th but had a good pace for the finals. In the finals we saw a thrilling one hour race. Carmine was driving safe to keep the 3rd place which was enough for the overall victory. His competitors who need to win were driving hard to get the win. Carmine avoid any kind of fighting and his 3rd final position in the race brought him the 2013 national champion title, quite an achievement against some of the best drivers in the world.
