The new configuration gives a flatter discharge curve meaning you get more voltage for longer instead of a steady drop in voltage as in regular packs. Available in 7200mAh 80C & 6000mAh 80C stick packs, 6000mAh 80C & 5000mAh 50 (low height) saddle packs, 4600mAh 80C shorty pack, 6400mAh 70C 1S & 3000mAh 60C 2S 1/12th packs and a 4200mAh 50C (low height) stick pack.

RB Blast V.13 Limited Edition engine

RB have released a another Limited Edition version of the Blast buggy engine called the V.13, an high quality engine at a great price. Made in Europe, the Blast is a long stroke engine that has got high level competition features such as turbo 14mm balanced and lightened crankshaft, competition lightweight and strong conrod and high speed main and front ball bearings. The liner features 5 ports with 2 by pass and MES (Multi Exhaust System), there is a turbo combustion chamber, a 9mm special buggy carburetor with 7mm restrictor and a big cooling head. The motor comes with orange dust protectors and is delivered with chrome stickers, instruction manual leaflet and exploded view sheet. Also available as part of a combo with the EFRA 2045 In-Line pipe/manifold set.

Maifield, Hinz & Miller win 2013 Dirt Invert

The 1st Annual Dirt Invert event was held at One Hobbies in Peoria, AZ, with a great turnout of local drivers and seasoned Arizona pros. The One Hobbies facility was the perfect setting for the debut of a new format of racing which involves triple A-mains, an interesting twist of inverted 2nd and 3rd main starts and scoring which utilizes all 3 main event scores. The format which is endorsed by Brian “Dirt” Kinwald drew the attention of many spectators and curious locals who wanted to see the favorite drivers come from the back of the pack.

Hank Perry 240 wins for Potter, Buechler & Tjepkema

Round 2 of the NCT series also know as “The Hank Perry 240” was held once again in Spokane Washington over Memorial Day weekend. This is one of the largest events in the Northwest with this year being no exception at close to 275 entries and drivers from all over the Northwest and Western Canada. The biggest class the entire weekend was the always exciting electric buggy class. In three very close qualifying rounds Tekin’s own Jeremy “PG” Potter would take his Hot Bodies D812/Tekno converted Buggy to the overall TQ followed closely by Tekin team mates Jordan Hestness, Jayson Tjepkema and Nick Buechler. Potter would take it to the field in A1 and A2 and come away with the overall win. In A3 Buechler would run away with it and take 2nd overall with Tjepkema rounding out the podium.

Jared Tebo double at AKA Mid-America Champs

Speed Monkey R/C hosted the AKA Mid-America Championship on May 24-26 in Dallas, Texas. With a cap of 200 entries, the race quickly filled up to max capacity with the appeal of a $50 entry including a set of AKA control tires (Soft Impacts for buggy/truggy and Soft Enduro 2 for SC). AKA team drivers dominated the field of racers. Jared Tebo led the team with a pair of TQ’s in Pro Buggy and Pro Truggy followed by easily winning both mains by 2 laps on the field.  Josh Wheeler was able to give teammate Tebo some pressure throughout the race and earn himself a pair of 2nd place finishes. Mark Pavidis rounded out the podium in Pro Buggy, and Ryan Lutz would go on to finish 3rd in Pro Truggy.

Austin Brumblay wins 17.5T at Reedy Race

Team Awesomatix USA drivers dominated practice and qualifying in the 17.5T class of the 2013 Reedy Race of Champions by locking out the top 3 qualifying positions. The trio of Kyle Bergstrom, Austin Brumblay and Aaron Young where consistently faster than the competition running with speeds same speed as 13.5T. In A1, Kyle and Austin rocketed to a quick lead while Aaron ran into some trouble on the first lap. It was clear that Aaron had a dominant car as he drove back up through the field to eventually finish just behind Austin. The trio finish in qualifying order – Kyle, Austin and Aaron.
