Matrix 1/8th Xtreme rims

Matrix 1/8th Xtreme rims

Matrix have introduced their newly designed Xtreme rim for 1/8 featuring new plastics following a year and a half research with a large European plastics company. The new design offers higher cornering speeds and lots of rear stability and will be available in three different types, normal (white plastic), carbon (with carbon) and a lightweight version. The light version uses a modified nylon which has a mass less than the polypropylene used by other manufacturers, the benefits of which is weight, these rims being the lightest on the market but with the same strength as the normal nylon rim. The weight of one set of 1/8 rims is only 62 grams. matrix will soon produce 1/10 rims with this special plastic.

Serpent 811 Cobra EP buggy 2.0 buggy

Serpent have released the new 811 Cobra EP buggy 2.0, a new development realized following a full year of racing across the globe, listening to feedback from many drivers and dedicated testing on many different surfaces. The feedback from the drivers on the Cobra E-Buggy in general was very good but according to some drivers the car could benefit from a more responsive rear end, combined with a bit more steering, which would bring the Cobra to the highest performance level. The 2.0 features new wider rear end, differently positioned new rear shock towers along with other small changes to the rear of the car.

JConcepts Pressure Points for 1/10th buggy

JConcepts Pressure Points for 1/10th buggy

JConcepts’ new Pressure Points are the latest low-height tread option specifically designed to tame high-speed courses with either wet or blue groove traction conditions. The design starts as an angular, low pin design as a carryover from the successful Bar Codes front tire line-up. The small “points” combined with “lower case” Y elements developed on the original Bar Codes V1 rear tire provide the ultimate in surface area “pressure” penetration and tack. The inner carcass and side-wall has built-in ribbing which limits carcass collapse and increases support on the outside during hard cornering and driving. The new inner ribbing, combined with the included JConcepts insert, is a perfect match to provide the ultimate in support, traction and consistency. The Pressure Points are designed to be driven hard while maintaining the grip necessary to drive at the limit. The edges of the side-walls have been carefully rolled for a smooth transition during cornering which limits traction-roll characteristics and allows the driver control during the all important tipping point every driver has experienced. Available in blue, green and gold compounds.
