Last weekend saw the 2nd round of the Dutch 1/8th scale National Championship return to the venue of the first round of the series, Rucphen in the south west of Holland. In a repeat performance from the first round it was John Ermen, driving for Serpent, that took the top spot in qualifying as the only driver to hit 23 laps followed by Rick V for Mugen in 2nd. In the race itself it was a pretty easy run for John until a coming together with slowing team mate Rob Kuijper forced John into the pits to fix his body shell. This allowed Rick V to close the gap and despite some traffic problems for the leader he couldn’t get passed and thats how it stayed with John taking the win by less than a second from Rick V in 2nd and 3rd place going to Rik Veenma.
More new tools from JP Racing to help with your engine dismantling, this latest tool allows you to easily remove the combustion chamber from the the engine’s sleeve without damaging either part. As you should always check your engine after competition, this is a great tool to have, and as this is a reversible tool, it is compatible with both turbo and standard combustion chambers.
A while ago we were informed by Xray that there would be a race between a full size Ferrari and an Xray NT1 and the results would be shown on Austrian TV. Now thanks to YouTube here is the video. I said over 100m it would be no contest, the NT1 had it, and i think every other opinion was the same, and that was in fact the outcome. The same race run to 150m saw the Ferrari just get it, mainly due to a bad start for the NT1.
Last weekend in Japan, at the Yatabe Arena, saw the GW Championships take place for off road electric cars. As always in Japan, the competition was fierce as the big teams had their best drivers at the event to compete for this title. In the 2wd class it was Hot Bodies racer Hayato Matsuzaki that the took the win by the tiniest of margins, only 7 tenths of a second ahead of Yokomo/Asso driver Sinnya Kimura in 2nd, while 3rd place went to Kyosho top man Sinnosuke Adachi. In the 4wd class it was Sinnya Kimura again, driving a Yokomo BX that took the win by less than 2 seconds from 2nd placed Hot Bodies racer Hayato Matsuzaki with another HB D4 in 3rd, driven by Tatsuya Sanpei.

Last weekend saw the 2nd round of the German West regional qualifiers take place at Stoppelhopsern Oberhausen. The race was won by Pro-Line Indoor winner Joern Neumann, driving his Durango modified Thunder Tiger, who put on a great show to win despite not having any brakes for the entire race due to a radio fault.
