Yaniv Sivan has once again shown that he is the man to beat in the Israeli League as round 4 of the series took place at the Hot Wheels racing club this weekend. The main event was a tough race for round 3 winner Yaniv, with the Kyosho driver having a race long battle with Golan Levy and Idan Kizel which ended when Yaniv was eventually able to take the lead and shortly after Idan had to retire due to an engine problem. This meant that Yaniv could cruise to the win, finishing ahead of 2nd place Xray racer Yosi Steren with Nir Sivan finishing in 3rd with another Kyosho.
French Crono racer and pole position holder Jerome Sartel has won the EFRA GP being run by the BBTTC near Bouffioulx, in Belgium this weekend. Reigning World and European touring car champion, Andy Moore (new pictures to follow), has clinched the 2007 EFRA European 1/12th scale championships that were held this weekend in Sweden. The British driver, who was starting from pole position, won the first 2 rounds of Finals, despite a stop go penalty for jumping the start in the 2nd final which saw him go nearly a lap down, to ensure that he had the title wrapped up before the 3rd round of finals which he decided to sit out. German driver Marc Fisher, finished in 2nd place with a fine run taking the win in the 3rd final and a 2nd place to claim the runner up spot ahead of Swedish driver Alexander Hagberg who claimed a 2nd and a 3rd. Reigning British Champion Andy Griffiths ended up 4th, with 5th place going to German racer Markus Mobers who was followed home by Finnish driver Simo Ahoniemi in 6th.
Following on from last months column by Juraj Hudy, comes the second part of this great insight into the development of Xrays new gas touring car, the NT1. With the new geometry on the suspension arms, the geometry of the steering blocks and rear uprights had to be modified too, which again required modifications to the moulds. With the changed geometry the roll center positions on the rear roll center bridge also had to be modified so after testing several different roll center positions we came up with the optimal positions.
