Round 4 of the FSEARA (Florida State Electric Auto Racing Association) took place at Minnreg in Largo, FL. Minnreg is an indoor carpet track, one of the few in Florida. Every year, Mike Boylan hosts this race as the warm up to the annual Snowbird Nationals in Orlando, FL and this warm up race attracted many locals & out of town racers. From Friday to Sunday, there are both oval & on road events to prepare for the 400+ entry Snowbird Nationals. This on road event alone had about 70+ entries, making this an important on road race to attend….

Since its release in 2009, the Griffin 12 Conversion has been a leading contender if not dominating the 1/12 Modified scene. Since the prototype TQ’d the IIC in 2009, the Griffin has gone on to win back to back Snowbird Nationals and ROAR Nationals. Add in a victory at the 2010 IIC, dominating performance at the U.S. Indoor Championships, IFMAR WC Finalist in Germany, several other TQ’s and wins and the CEFX Griffin has set a very high bar in 1/12 performance. Dutch company Corally have announced that their team driver Marc Fischer from Germany has extended his contract for another year bringing him through to 2012 with the team. Marc Fischer had the following to say about his new deal: I would like to send my special thanks to Constant, Susi and Yoko for they have given me the chance to continue the contract. At the 2010 Snowbird Nationals in Orlando, Florida, Hupo Hönigl continued his hot streak that started in Vegas in September 09. Hupo was Top Qualifier in both the 1:12th 10.5 class and the 1:10th WGT class with his CRC rides. In the hotly contested World GT class, Hupo took his CRC Gen-X 10 right off the track from his win in Cleveland and continued his victorious ways in Orlando. The 2010 Snowbird Nationals classes are now posted, and this year features the addition of Touring Modified Rubber to the lineup. Racers will be dueling it out in eight road classes and eight oval classes this year, which is less divisions than year’s past, making for bigger car counts and more racing excitement.
