Richard Volta wint Franse 1/8 Nats Rd1 Categories - Gas, On Road, National, Racing - add a comment
De eerste ronde van de Franse 1/8ste schaal op wegIngezetenen werd in werking gesteld vorig weekend in Angoulême in ten westen van het land. Het kwalificeren van de zaterdag uiteindelijk zag droge voorwaarden na een nat begin aan de dag en in de klasse van de Elite was het onlangs ondertekende racer Richard Volta van de Herder die snelst door Kyosho bestuurder Adrien Siegfried in tweede gevolgd werd en Sebasian die Zatla een Motonica in derde rent. In de Nationale klasse was het de jonge bestuurder Mickaël Tequi van het Serpent die op pool aan het eind van 3 rondes voor een andere racer Gérald Colinet in tweede en Jérôme die Berthelot van het Serpent was, een Mugen in derde rent. Voor def. van de Zondag was de regen aangekomen en dit maakte de voorwaarden zeer netelig. In Nationale def., kregen de hoogste 3 bepalende woorden een schoon begin maar wat het verenigbare drijven door David Loglisci betekende dat hij zich aan de voorzijde kon bewegen waar hij kon nemen wint voor Philippe Cima in tweede en Romain Fournery in derde. In def. van de Elite, nam de poolmens Volta een tijdje om aan de voorwaarden te wennen en was derde achter Velox racer Laurent Pageneau en Motonica S. van de teampartner. Zatla. Volta kon snelheid later in het ras bereiken en kon het in paren rangschikken voor hem overgaan want win en nadat Zatla problemen had betekende dit dat Bouche zich in derde kon bewegen, gevend nieuwe Velox een podiumuitsluiting in zijn eerste ras in Frankrijk.

Chuck Berg wins the Chi-Town Shootout Categories - Team Orion, Electric, Off Road, Racing - add a comment
Team Orion are reporting on the 2008 Chi-Town Shootout that was held at the beginning of March at the Leisure Hours Raceway in Joliet, IL. Racers from Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin all attended this annual event to race on the hi-traction clay track which allowed the racers to run slicks at the beginning of the day when the track was wet, then switch over to tires with a little more pin as the track started to dry out. Team Orion driver Chuck Berg was the man to beat in 2wd 19T buggy class, TQ’ing every round of qualifying to guarantee him the first spot on the grid for the main event. At the start of the tone, Berg shot off the line and after a couple laps he had stretched out a comfortable lead on the field. Chuck then went on and ran mistake free for the rest of the main winning by a considerable margin.

ISTC Worlds Warm-up - Thailand Categories - Electric, On Road, International, Racing - 2 comments
If you couldn’t make it to the RCS track in Bangkok, Thailand for this years TITC to test on the same track will be used for this years 1/12th scale and 1/10th scale Touring car Championships, then you have another chance to do so when the official Pre World Championship is run on the track on the 25th - 27th of April. Run according to IFMAR rules, this will be a great trial run for both the racers and organisers alike. The official event site is not yet up but should be soon so keep checking the link below for updates.

Much More have released this stone finisher tool set for preparing stone cutters that cut lay down or stand up brushes surface smoother than a metal blade cutter. The set is sold separately to the stone brush cutter but is supplied with the blue anodised brush setter and stone block. New stone cutters can be cut to the users desired diameter with the stone block and when finished is turned upside down and mounted to the motor shaft as normal.
