Truhe & Maifield winnen de Zilveren Staat Categories - Gas, Off Road, International, Racing - add a comment
Het vorige weekend zag de Zilveren NitroUitdaging die in Las Vegas in werking wordt gesteld en het was Drake van Adam die de vlek TQ in de klasse met fouten met zijn Losi 8ight terwijl in de truggy klasse het Jared Tebo was beveiligde, rennen O' Donnell prototype, nam dat de hoogste vlek. Voor de leidingen, zij in 2 X25 minieme rassen met de gecombineerde resultaten worden verdeeld die de algemene winnaars bepalen. In de klasse met fouten was het Losi racer Mike Truhe die zowel def. om won te eisen algemeen voor racer Kyosho de Koning van Cody in tweede en Jared Tebo in derde met zijn O' Donnell Z01-B R. wint. De mensenDrake van Pool had problemen bij het begin van eerste def. met zijn radio en ondanks een rasvertraging, niet kon het begin maken. In de truggy klasse, won Jared Tebo eerste def. van pool, maar in de 2de leiding die slechts voor Cavalieri moet plaatsen, rolde hij op de voorlaatste overlapping die aan 3de betekenis daalt het Ryan Maifield drijvend Kyosho st-rr was die algemeen wint met Tebo omhoog beëindigend tweede en Maifield derde nam.

ETS Denemarken - Jilles bevestigde Groskamp Categories - ETS, Events, On Road, International, Racing - add a comment 
De organisatoren van volgende weekends tweede ronde van de Veel meer gesteunde Europese het Reizen Reeks hebben het genoegen om te bevestigen dat Tamiya de fabrieksbestuurder Jilles Groskamp bij de gebeurtenis aanwezig zal zijn. Plaatsvindend in Vejle, Denemarken, zal de race ook bijgewoond worden door medeTamiya teambestuurders Marc Rheinard en Viktor Wilck evenals Bijbehorende teambestuurder Joel Myrberg en veel andere hoogste kwaliteitsracers. De toegangen zullen open tot de eerste dag van het ras blijven, dat Zaterdag de vijftiende zal zijn, en voor die die reeds ingegaan of willen binnengaan, zijn er een nieuwe verminderde inkoopprijs en een bijgewerkt tijdschema. Alle bestuurders zullen 5 rondes van praktijk op de Zaterdag evenals 4 rondes van het kwalificeren krijgen, terwijl op Zondag er 1 meer ronde van het kwalificeren en drievoudige leidingen voor alle racers zal zijn.

Xray have a brief report on their site from the first North Interregional Championship race that was held in Montecchio last weekend. Perfect spring weather conditions greeted the over 50 drivers in the 1:10 class and after 3 rounds of qualifying it was Paolo Gaggiola that took TQ with his Max-powered NT1. Following the semi finals, in wich Luca Colombo and Guido Barbera won to take their place in the main final, the NT1 racers proceeded to dominate the race with Gaggiola taking the win from Colombo and Barbera in 2nd and 3rd.

Phuah & Seet win iRacingWerkz NC Rd1 Categories - Xray, Gas, Off Road, Racing - add a comment
Xray have a report on their site from the 1st round of the iRacingWerkz Nitro Challenge held recently at Singapore’s Turf City track. The race was open to both buggy and truggy and in the buggy class it was HongNor racer Wenyi that took TQ with the Xray pairing of Sam Cheng and Glenn Phuah in 2nd and 3rd, while in the truggy class it was Glenn Phuah that made TQ with the only 13 lap qualifier of the whole event. In the truggy main final, Glenn managed to pull out a comfortable lead until he clipped a metal spike that damaged the front arm, ending the race for him and handing the win to Kyosho driver Ben Seet. In the buggy final Glenn was once again quick, having a good battle with Wenyi and Sam Cheng but could eventually pull out a lead, taking the win despite a damaged rear wing, with Seet finishing in 2nd and another Xray driver JY Mok in 3rd.

As some of you may have noticed, we have a new advertiser on the site in the form of IDM, the company run by top Italian racing driver Daniele Ielasi. Best known for his range of IDM Tuned Picco made engines, the former European Champion is also extending the IDM line to carry other products as well. IDM are getting into the tire business with the release of a complete range of foam 1/8th scale and 1/10th scale tires made by ATS and we are told that there will be changes made to the wheels you see in the picture above before launch. Other items include the IDM branded and Capricorn made clutch system for 1/8th scale, that features a vented clutch bell and 3 different clutch shoes for varying effects.

Sotiropoulos wins Greek 1/8th Nats Rd1 Categories - Serpent, Gas, On Road, National, Racing - comments closed
Serpent are reporting on the first round of the Greek National Championship that got underway at the FRT track last weekend and which saw current Champion John Sotiropoulos dominate the event. With a busy few days prior to the event to build the new 08 kits, Saturday’s practice showed that Sotiropoulos had not lost any of his pace over the off season as he set the pace with his new Max powered Serpent. A pace that he carried through to qualifying on Sunday as he TQ’d the event. Starting the 30 minute final from pole position, Sotiropoulos was pushed hard at the start but once the race had settled down the Serpent driver began to pull away, eventually crossing the line some 3 laps clear of Kyosho racer Giannis Arkoumanis in 2nd and his team mate Totomis Evaggelos in 3rd.

Medial Pro announce their Return Categories - Medial Pro, Industry, Tires, Off Road, Products - comments closed 
Following the announcement last October that French tyre maker Medial Pro was putting itself up for sale comes today’s release that they have been sold to Belgium based company Medial Pro BVBA. All inventory, rubber injection machinery and tyre moulds will be moved this month to the brand new production facility in Belgium where the production will be restarted at the end of April. This new company will be doing all it possibly can to supply the market, and their worldwide distributor network, with a new stock of tyres as soon as possible. Nothing will be changing on the rubber compounds but Medial Pro have said that the existing range of competition tyres will be extended before the end of this year with 5 new types of 1/8 off-road and Truggy tyres, designed by Claude Lachat.

Limited to only 20 pieces, this special Cyclone D4 4wd buggy from Hot Bodies is a replica of that used by current 2wd World Champion and 4wd Japanese National Vice Champion Hayato Matsuzaki. Supplied in a nice metal carry case, the car is completely assembled and comes with Panther tyres all around and topped off with a very nice replica painted shell and wing. For your money, nearly EUR 1,400, you also receive the top of the line KO Propo EX-10 Helios C2 transmitter, PDS-2413ICS steering servo and VFS-1 Pro C3 2008 speed controller. Accompanying your transmitter is a metal carry case, while in the car is mounted a Team Checkpoint brushed electric motor. The D4 itself sports some optional parts including, aluminium rear uprights, aluminium C-hub blocks and new toe in suspension blocks. As a nice touch, both the car and its case sport a limited edition badge which is also numbered.
