…he had to just bring the car home although this wasn’t an easy task with many incidents happening on the technical track, but Nikos Karabelas (BMT) kept his cool and crossed the finish line first, bringing home the win at round two of the championship, the National Cup title and also the fastest single lap. The fourth and final round of the Greek Championship took place at the Fanatix Racing Track near Athens. After 4 rounds of qualification it was John Sotiropoulos who took the TQ in front of Shepherd racer Bill Lykaris with a gap of only 0,6sec. At the beginning of the 35 minute main final Bill Lykaris was able to take over the lead but it was a close race for the complete distance. The Greek National Cup was held at the Modelodromio track in Patra in sunny weather conditions. Xray’s Dimitriou would TQ three of the four qualifiers what gave him the overall TQ from Papadopoulos (Xray). In the main, Dimitriou was the fastest driver on the track in the very hot conditions, allowing him to take the win with a huge margin from second placed Papadopoulos while Christodoulou (Mugen) finished in third place. The first round of the Greek 1/10th Nitro Championship took place at the Fanatix Racing track in Stamata. After four rounds of qualification it was John Sotiropoulos who took the TQ spot in front of Dimitris Dimitriou, Nikos Karabelas and Bill Likaris. The top qualifiers made some mistakes already in the first few minutes of the main final what helped Bill Likaris to take over the lead. The same day as round four of the Greek Xray Winter Series the Fanatix Racing Track held the Xray Nitro Challenge Greece. Right from the start Xray driver Dimitriou made his intentions clear as he won all qualifiers to take a dominant overall TQ.
