Simon Reeves wins 2008 Belgian GP

We received a report from Simon Reeves on the Belgium GP for 1/10th electric off road, which is always held the first weekend of July each year. Willy and Lilian who run the meeting always manage to run a relaxed fun meeting which for most is one of the best meetings of the year. This year saw more new additions to the track with a new wall of death and a new triple/double combination in the centre of the track. Sebastian Wartelle wins French EFRA GP

Last weekend the Auto Model Club Ampuis played host to the 2007 French EFRA GP for 200mm and apart from a few foreign drivers the event was very much an all French affair. Qualifying, which was held in dry conditions, saw Kyosho driver Adrien Bertin set both a new individual lap record and overall 5 minute qualifying record, to take the pole position ahead of B.A. Arnaldi in 2nd and Belgian driver Jérôme Renaux in 3rd. Unfortunately for race day the rain came down and this put a bit of a dampener on proceedings but the race went ahead anyway…

Lee Martin wins 4wd at Belgian GP

As we reported earlier today, the Belgian GP for 1/10th electric buggies was being run this weekend at the Kampenhout track, near Brussels. Lee Martin took the 2wd win yesterday and showed again today, the form that has seen him head the 4wd BRCA Nationals standings, by taking the pole position ahead of Joern Neumann in 2nd place and Grant Williams in 3rd position. Lee Martin wins 2wd at Belgian GP

This weekend sees the annual Belgian GP for off road electric buggies take place at the Kampenhout track in the middle of the country, near Brussels. Sundays running will be for the 4wd class but Saturday was for 2wd and in qualifying for this class it was a close battle between eventual pole man Lee Martin from the UK, and young German racer Joern Neumann who finished 2nd, both racers running the Associated B4, while 3rd place qualifier was X-Factory X6 driver Ellis Stafford. Jerome Sartel wins EFRA GP Belgium

French Crono racer and pole position holder Jerome Sartel has won the EFRA GP being run by the BBTTC near Bouffioulx, in Belgium this weekend. Sartel was on the pace all weekend, topping practice and qualifying times and in the race was unstoppable, setting the fastest lap on his way to winning the event by 2 laps. Runner up at the event was Raphael Robert, the Belgian driver finishing in 2nd spot, 1 lap up on eventual 3rd place racer Stephane Deroch of France.
