Leo Arnold wins at French 1/8th On-road Nats Rd4

Kukla & Novotny win rained out Czech Nats Rd2

The second round of the Czech 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at the Dolni Bukovsko track. In the 1/8th Nitro Buggy class, Xray’s Kaja Novotny took the win in the opening qualifier but technical issues for Kaja in Q2 and Q3 made way for David Kukla (Xray) who left Jiri Mara (Serpent) and Max Gotzl (Xray) behind in second and third. Martinelli & Schär win at Swiss IC Track Nats Rd3

Round three of the Swiss Nitro On-road Nationals was recently held in Schaffhausen. In the premier 1/8th class Simon Kurzbuch and Silvio Hächler would lead the proceedings at first but in the semifinals things would look a bit different. The first semifinal would be held in dry conditions until the very last minute when it started to rain. Silvio would bring home the win from Mattia Pesenti. The second semi than was run on a wet track with Luca “The orange submarine” Martinelli coming in first while Simon ran into trouble that now allowed him to proceed into the A-main….

Monteiro successful at Portuguese Buggy Nats Rd2

The second round of the Portuguese 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held this past weekend in Guarda following a rained out and cancelled round one. Serpent driver Carlos Duares (Serpent) set the TQ in the qualifiers by winning all three rounds with Miguel Matias (HB) coming in second. In the 45 minute A-main the TQ holder suffered a flame-out which cost him dearly as Ricardo Monteiro (TLR) was able to take the win one lap ahead of Carlos. …with a nice battle in the first part with Leo Arnold, who was on a more aggressive strategy, Arnaud could then secure the overall victory, taking the win some two laps ahead of Leo who finished second, while Christophe Louis would grab the final podium spot. Green & Beal win at BRCA 1/10th Nitro on-road nats

…the TQ position in the premier 1/10th 200mm class while Glyn Beal (Serpent) came out fastest in the 1/10th 235mm GT and the 1/8th GT categories. The main final of the 200mm class then had Mark Green defending his top position to take the day’s win from Joe Kerry (Capricorn/O.S.) and Alex Thurston (Serpent/Max). In the 220mm GT class Glyn Beal (Serpent) came out fastest in the final from Peter Hellawell (Serpent) and Devendra Mahatme (Shepherd) while in 1/8th GT Glyn Beal scored another win, this time from Scott Hellawell in second and Paul Drewsnap in third. Dutch 1/8th Nitro On-road Nats Rd6 – Report

Utrecht’s RACO 2000 track played host to last weekend’s sixth and final round of the Dutch National 1/8th Nitro On-road Championships. Saturday’s practise started off dry and partially cloudy, while Sunday morning’s qualifying started under sunny but much colder conditions. In both the premier NK class and the Nomac class, the championship still was to be decided. In the NK class it was Frank Baggen (ARC/Reds) who was fastest after the qualifiers, followed by Arie Manten (Shepherd/Picco), Joey Sorber (Shepherd/Maxima) and Ad Vissenberg (ARC/Reds).
