Mark Green wins 1/8th scale Pre Worlds in Argentina Categories - Events, Gas, On Road, International, Racing , trackback
Mark Green has won the 2007 pre World Championships held last week at the host track in Cordoba, Argentina. Racing the only Serpent 960 in the final, Mark was in good company with some of the best Italian racers present at the event, including current World Champion Lamberto Collari. In the end Mark could win easily, showing great pace to win by a lap ahead of current 1/10th European Champion Dario Balestri who was driving the all Italian combination of Novarossi powered Motonica. Marco Vanni brought his Mugen home in 3rd, ahead of prevous Worlds finalist Walter Salemi also driving a Mugen. Masao Tanaka was making his international debut for Motonica and finished in 6th, giving a strong showing for this car while the other Japanese in the final was current 1/10th World Champion Keisuke Fukuda who suffered problems ending his race in 9th, one place ahead of World Champ Collari who retired early on due to radio problems.

Did I here crystals?
Just imagine Collari suffering from radio problems when there is a system - and I don’t mean Spekrum - available on the market for over two years now which overcomes such issues.
It is nice too see Motonica making some progress with their new P8R. A pity its appreciably high price tag does not as yet translate to a consistent international winning performance. Nonetheless, with Collari due to sign up that should undoubtedly change!
