Pesenti takes Rd3 of Swiss 1/8th Nats

Last weekend saw the 3rd round of the Swiss 1/8th scale Championship take place on the Sitterdorf track and our man Mattia Pesenti was once again in top form with his Novarossi powered Motonica and he has provided us with this report.

On Saturday morning the sun was shining, and it was about 25 degrees. This track is quite fast and so it is very difficult to do the 5 minutes. In the controlled practice I crashed my car at the end of the straight but for the first round of qualifying it was ready to win. Just before the first round we saw some black clouds coming…so we had to finish this round without mistake.

I start very fast just behind Geisendorf, and after 2 minutes I was in the lead. Unfortunately in the last lap my tank was quite empty, so I lost half a second and I did 20 laps in 5.00. Markus did 21 laps in 5.15 but the last lap he had to slow down because of the fuel. Just after the end of the round started to rain.

Sunday the sun was shining again…about 30degrees!!

We started the final at 4pm and arter the first 3 laps it was Geisendorf on the lead, I was second and Pierroz in third. Between me and Geisendorf it was very close, but after 15 minutes he had some fuel problems and his engines stopped, so he lost 1 lap. I continued my race without any mistakes and I won!!!
